Ludlow’s response to Ultra Bodoni (ATF) and Poster Bodoni (Linotype). Various differences incl. a large-headed ‘g’, small serif on the top arm of ‘k’, forward-leaning ‘S’. Issued in upright and italic styles in 1930. [Reichardt] The italic has a number of alternate swash caps. [McGrew] A condensed followed later, see Bodoni Black Condensed.
