Known as Weiss Initials in the English-speaking world. Initially cast as Weiß-Initialen in three larger sizes (1930) and later (1931) expanded into a series of four — magere and kräftige Weiß-Kapitale (W. Initials No.1 and No.3), and magere and kräftige Weiß-Lapidar (W. Initials No.2). These came in eight sizes, with punctuation and figures. The flared low-contrast Weiß-Lapidar has Romanesque alternates for ‘A’, ‘E’, and ‘G’. Latter is also present in kräftige Weiß-Kapitale.
