Known as Weiss Initials in the English-speaking world. Initially cast as Weiß-Initialen in three larger sizes (1930) and later expanded into a series of four — Weiß-Kapitale and Weiß-Lapidar, each in two weights (1931). These came in eight sizes, with punctuation and figures. The flared low-contrast Weiß-Lapidar has Romanesque alternates for ‘A’, ‘E’, and ‘G’. Latter is also present in Kräftige Weiß-Kapitale.
