This cover was clearly inspired by The Face, the influential British magazine of music, culture, and fashion of the 1980s–90s. From 1981–86 the magazine’s look was defined by art director Neville Brody. Evan Gaffney nodded to that history by chosing Brody’s FF Typeface, modifying the ‘A’ to reference the triangular logo of The Face.
