Loopcam is a simple iPhone app for creating and sharing animated GIFs (or “Loops”). Platform is used as the main typeface in the app, web profiles, and branding.
Was this the precursor to Vine? I know Vine was bought by Twitter during development, before it even became public.
Nope. Loopcam is made by an entirely different team (in Germany) and the app is still available and in active development. Also, while the Vine format is short video, Loopcam’s format is animated GIF.
