It’s no exaggeration to say that in India, Sachin Tendulkar is revered as a god. Universally recognised as one of cricket’s all time greats, he’s scored more test runs than anyone in the history of the game – dominant at the batting crease as the nation’s talisman for over 20 years.
As part of a pitch to Bollywood producers, we were commissioned by Endemol Sport to design a limited-edition book in celebration of the cricketer. The book itself was case bound in ‘cricket white’ book cloth and hand finished by polishing a cricket ball on the cover. We found a home for Sachin’s iconic bat in the negative space of the book’s title, and divided its sections with ribbons in the colours of India’s flag.
