Irregular is a German skateboard magazine, based in Munich, Germany. The quarterly features professional skateboarders, trips and events on 128 pages, with a lot of photographs by Fabian Reichenbach.
Art director Stefan Gottwald chose a combination of the Spitzkant and Ardena font families by Julien Fincker for this year’s issues. He combines the fonts in very different and playful ways for headlines and copytext. Each article gets its own look and feel, in a very modern and high-class way.
Issue 44 is the second issue of the year, and the second to feature only these two typefaces for the whole layout of the magazine. See also the post about issue 43.
