“After the dramatic cultural cuts ordered by the Dutch Ministery for Culture in 2012 [2011?], the Rijksakademie van beeldende kunsten in Amsterdam came in heavy economical weather and looked at an uncertain future. This resulted in a newspaper that wanted to show both its protest and the support that [the academy] received from all over the international art world.”

“The typography … is a mix of Vendôme and Mistral by one of my favorite type designers — Roger Excoffon — in combination with Univers. The latter is strictly placed big and condensed, in order not to lose any of the precious space on the paper.” — Roosje Klap
