    This jacket titling is handlettered, it’s not the typeface.

    The finer details of the letterforms certainly suggest as much. This method – lettering that’s more or less closely patterned after a typeface – appears to have been a common modus operandi for Fujita, see e.g. his jacket design for Future Shock featuring a redrawn Amelia. I have added our “lettering derived from typeface” tag.

  3. On the title page, author’s name in Baskerville Old Face ?

  4. I would think so! Nick had tagged our generic Baskerville. This is an old post; maybe we didn’t have a dedicated page for Baskerville Old Face yet back in 2014. Adjusted now.
