Diario Las Américas is the oldest Spanish language newspaper in Miami, USA. Since 1953 it has addressed the Hispanic community in South Florida. In 2013 it went through a deep transformation both in terms of content and design, and became a morning newspaper. The redesign was led by the Catalonian studio Cases i Associats, which transformed it into a “tidy daily, more readable and modern”.

The newspaper uses Abril Display for headlines and Abril Text for subheadings and continuous text. Adelle Sans is used to counterbalance Abril in headlines, subheadings, menus, tables, figures and other small text.
