Aldo is a Canadian shoe and accessories company (named after its founder Aldo Bensadoun) using the lively script Cortado and Alternate Gothic for their retail campaigns — online, in print, and in the shops for POS material. MP Creative in New York does the brand design. The script typeface by Jesse Ragan and Ben Kiel, based on Cecilia Carlstedt’s original lettering for the “Give me Aldo” campaign, used to be exclusive to Aldo. An updated version is now available for general licensing. (See also the typeface specimen site at cortadoscript.com)
