The Romance of Tristan and Iseult as Retold by Joseph Bédier. Translated by Hilaire Belloc and completed by Paul Rosenfeld.

The red type is Weiss Initials II, also known as Weiß-Lapidar mager, with the romanesque alternate forms for A and E. This cover features both flavors of Palatino Italic. While the larger sizes show Stempel’s version for manual composition, the smaller lines are set in the Linotype adaptation, with wider proportions that match the widths of the roman.
