Cowboy, Poet, Outlaw, and Madman, is a volume of Val Kilmer’s selected poems written between 1987 and 2020.

The four personas – as strong as the title suggests – require typefaces that can hold up: Saracen from Hoefler & Co., Haltrix from Blackletra, Tripper from Underware, and Schick Toikka’s Chap for titling and text. Evert Bloemsma’s sans serif FF Balance takes a supporting role.

Cloth bound, foil stamped with matching teal painted edges, this handsome book is printed in a single shade of olive green throughout. The book was designed by Strick & Williams and produced by A24.

In 1984, Brazilian designers Humberto and Fernando Campana co-founded Estudio Campana. For over 35 years, the Campana Brothers have sought inspiration in the universe of materials and objects that are most familiar to Brazilians, in order to create, provoke, and to test the limits of the field of design, in creative pursuits that reveal and make the invisible around us inevitable. At this special moment in their career, the brothers invited Alexandria and Pharus Design to rethink the purpose and meaning of the Campana brand, from both a strategic and visual point of view. The aim was to develop a deep understanding of the project about the various natures of the way they introduce themselves to the world. Pharus chose typeface Noka by Brazilian foundry Blackletra because its technical approach contrasts well with Campana Brothers’ organic works.

Amplify Her is a non-profit organization created to address women’s underrepresentation in public office. The visual identity designed by Sam Bumbalo expresses the bold and disruptive mission of the organization.

The wordmark – using Blackletra's Noka – is bold and straight-forward like the disruptive tone of the organization. Tilting the A creates a megaphone, a metaphor for the organization's tone and mission.

Since January 2018 O Povo, Fortaleza’s biggest newspaper, has launched its new redesign done by Gil Dicelli and team. The new design uses both Silva Text and Silva Display, as well as DIN Next.

Fusion Arena is the largest virtual reality game arena of Europe, launched in 2018 in Zürich.
Studio Updott was responsible for defining its positioning, visual identity, parametric F logo (play with it on their website), brand and design systems, website and app with all the digital experience (UX and UI). They paired Silva Display with Poppins in the brand design.

The first issue of Airbnbmag, a collaboration between Airbnb and Hearst Publishing, was launched in Spring 2017. Art Direction by Tom O’Quinn.

This book by Beatriz Azevedo is a close reading on the Manifesto Antropófago (“Cannibal Manifesto”) by Oswald de Andrade. Book design by Bloco Gráfico (Gabriela Castro, Gustavo Marchetti, Paulo Chagas). They used Silva Text and FF Mark for the interior. P22 Bifur C (with modifications) is featured on the cover.

Revista São Paulo is the new graphic project by Fernando Sciarra and Thea Severino from the design team of Folha de São Paulo. It was launched in June 2016 and uses Silva Display and Antenna Condensed for the titles, as well as FF Meta Serif for text. The logotype is a custom version of Silva Display.
