Artwork for Natalie Wildgoose and her new EP Come Into the Garden, alongside posters for her release shows at The Cardigan Arms in Leeds, and Servant Jazz Quarters in London.

A range of period typefaces are used throughout. For the EP artwork, Anglo-Saxon Caps is used for the titles and Seta Reta NF for the credits. The show posters use Schwarzkopf and P22 Arts and Crafts Hunter for headers, with a combination of Archive Garamond (bold italic), Madisonian Light, Skeleton Antique and News Gothic (medium, bold) for subheadings and body copy.

Designed by Outlier, the artwork takes inspiration from the introduction pages of old books from the 19th and 20th century, where often an illustration would feature between small, widely spaced serif type.

Archive Antique Extended is used for the act names, with Archive Garamond in bold and bold italic for all body copy. The illustration is of Mellbreak in Cumbria, England by A. Wainwright and lifted from his Lakeland Fells series (Book Seven: The Western Fells), published 1966.

The Bantamweight style of Champion Gothic (Hoefler & Co) was used for the wordmark and headers. The lineup and body copy are set in the Bold style of Paratype’s Baskerville Display PT.

Packaging for Weldtite puncture repair kits.

Coolvetica is used throughout, and whilst extremely similar to Helvetica, the typeface instead pays homage to the Helvetica-customising era of 1970s chain shop fronts, with modified characters such as the rounded lowercase t featured here.

Although the branding for this product line has since been updated, this original design is still in circulation amongst most cycling stores worldwide.

Expressa Bold was used for the header type, with Futura TS Extra Light for the caption and body.

Identity for Self Discovery for Social Survival, a stunning collaborative surf and music documentary between Mexican Summer and Pilgrim Surf + Supply, directed by Chris Gentile.

Bailey Elder took care of the bulk of the artwork, with art direction, title lettering and animations by Robert Beatty.

Florentine and Charleston are used as the type for the film and on all promotional materials including the soundtrack artwork.

Branding and packaging for the 1981 board game Blarf, designed by Robert H. Hollars and published by Parlor Games, Inc.

The rich and enticing title type is Jürgen Riebling’s Mr. Big (Berthold, 1972). It was digitally revived by Nick Curtis as Hoodoo U (2011). Mr. Big is accompanied by ITC Kabel in bold, demi and medium weights.

The instructions on the bottom side are provided in English and Spanish. They are set in Helvetica. The Parlor Games logo combines ITC Quorum with initials from Odin. “Un producto de” additionally uses ITC Benguiat.
