When Display first received the brief to brand this premium domestic espresso machine, we were told that, weighing more than 20kg, it would be rock solid on the kitchen counter, allowing for all operations necessary to prepare the best coffee in your home.

That inspired the heavyweight custom logo (drawn by Alessio D’Ellena) and the sophisticated, unusual design for a domestic espresso machine needed a typographic companion that would go well with that. That is why we choose TWK Lausanne, a very carefully crafted sans serif that works beautifully in small sizes, and set large for headlines.

Fabita is the evolution of an industrial firm with over ten years of experience in the sector of induction and vitroceramic hobs and of extractor hoods.

Each product surprises you with something unexpected (may it be a feature or an interaction), just like the upside down letters in Sneak Light and Mono do, every time you encounter one.

It took us four years to decide to publish our portfolio online. In the process, the whole studio identity went from the dark screen of a terminal-looking window (featuring only the monospaced Nitti), to a brighter white page using mainly Nitti Grotesk.

LagunaB is a Murano-based glass-blowing brand with a strong focus on creating products that are relevant for a contemporary audience – and more.

This is why their website is conceived to be a digital container of the brand’s stories and philosophy, where a fully redesigned e-commerce experience shares its space with a detailed report of their efforts to open Venice and glass culture to the rest of the world. Also featuring some memorabilia from their origin.

The typography uses two contrasting typefaces – Ogg Display and Fakt in regular and condensed styles – in various combinations and styles.

The website typography brings together two typeface series from Commercial Type. The seriffed Lyon is used in both its Display and Text cuts.
