Founded in 2012 by Marius Eder and Tristan Fischer, Tactyc is a hybrid agency that works at the intersection of creative direction and brand strategy. Located in Munich, they’ve evolved into a globally active studio, collaborating with leading brands and creative minds across the fields of luxury, culture, and technology. Tactyc combines digital design, animation and several XR experiences through art and modern technology. The studio’s main focus lies in design, 3D animation, modern technologies, product visualization and much more.

Sömestr collaborated with Tactyc for their website design and development. The team focused on showcasing studio’s phenomenal artworks as the main attraction and added subtle typographic details for a better user experience. Layouts are created with a typographic system inspired by credits sections of movie posters. Rolanti is selected as the display typeface for its technical appearance with lots of character imbued to it, matching Tactyc’s experimental approach. For long texts, Crit is preferred with its neutral charm. The result is a minimal but understated catalog leveraging web technologies like WebGL.

Diesel, the international jeans brand, is launching “Be Stupid”, a campaign that encourages consumers to take risks and move beyond the smart and sensible track for life. The campaign, developed at global advertising agency Anomaly, includes online, press and outdoor advertisements featuring “stupid” acts, a digital recruitment campaign for the Diesel music video/2010 catalogue, and viral activity outlining the company’s Stupid philosophy.

So we decided to use Graphik and Adobe Garamond together to have a scientific but warm feeling. Graphik gives the modern and technological characteristics of the brand while Garamond sets the voice tone to a softer one.

It is a communication platform that strives to create a source of information regarding the methods by making intellectual contributions to the digital transformation processes of Turkey’s ready-made garment and fashion industry. 1970s typographic influences were chosen to give it a hybrid look which stands equally close to both retail business and fashion design.

Value Serif and Founders Grotesk X-Condensed are used mainly for headlines and side information, while Galaxie Copernicus and Founders Grotesk were chosen for body text.
