The Party of Humanists (German: “Partei der Humanisten”, abbreviated as “PdH”) is a political party in Germany. It supports socially liberal and secular policies, such as a federal European state, openness towards technologies such as stem cell research and strict separation between state and religion.

Since 2023, the style guide suggests the use of Univia for headlines and Open Sans for copy text. The design was developed by graphic designers from within the party.

TypoTasten is a keycaps set for Windows and MacOS making the extended keyboard layout “E1” from the German keyboard standard DIN 2137 (2023) available to users of mechanical keyboard in Germany and Austria.

Rounded typefaces were often used on computer keyboards during the 1970s and 1980s because of the double-shot moulding production process, which cannot provide sharp corners for the key legends. The TypoTasten keycaps are produced with a dye-sublimation process instead, so any typeface would have worked. Hoss Round was chosen because it can be associated with that time when mechanical keyboards were heavily used, while also being interesting enough to give these keycaps their own unique look. In addition, the range of weights was useful to clearly separate the different layers on the keys. Not all glyphs are directly taken from the fonts. Some glyphs had to be added and some were modified to increase the legibility when being used in such a small size.

The project was launched on Kickstarter in November 2024.

Historic image of a printing firm’s building in Frohburg, Saxony (Germany). The firm printed newspapers such as Frohburger Wochenblatt and later Wirtschafts-Anzeiger, the latter using Triumph (1929) for its masthead. The signage on the building was created using the same typeface.

Parts of the signage on the landmarked building have survived until today: the word “Buchdruckerei” (print shop), the stylized printers coats of arms, as well as a ceramic relief showing Johannes Gutenberg created by Kurt Feuerriegel.

Das Volk (“The People”) was a newspaper for the Social Democratic Party of Thuringia, Germany, published in 1926. The display typefaces are Extrafette Bernhard-Fraktur (published in 1921) and Enge Jaecker-Schrift (published in 1912). The text is set in an unidentified standard fraktur, see Normal-Fraktur.

Aeropuerto Internacional Eldorado is an international airport located in Bogotá, Colombia. It is ranked among the world’s 50 busiest airports. In 2012 it was equipped with the newly released signage typeface Wayfinding Sans Pro from fonts.info.
