The British edition of GQ Style from May 10th 2021 utilizes a striking neon green color—a popular shade known as “terminal green.” The typeface is Gotham Black Italic. The issue comes with various cover variants, featuring Lil Nas X (photographed by Luke Gilford), Neymar Jr. (Kenny Germé), and Mykki Blanco (Josh Hight). In the first one, the name is placed at a tilt that runs perpendicular to the angle of the singer/rapper’s body.

Billboard featured Olivia Rodrigo, singer of the hit song “Driver's License” as a cover star on the May 15th 2021 issue of their bi-monthly magazine. The pastel complimentary colors make this image striking, but it's hard to ignore the bold use of the Pacifico with a subtle drop shadow. The stylized characters of the L and T seem to appear as if the magazine designer used an old version of the typeface, but the loopy letterforms are unmistakable. Pacifico makes an appearance in the band across the top of the page, in the same subdued chartreuse as the magazine's title.

The cover was likely designed by Billboard creative director Andrew Horton. The photograph was taken by David Needleman. Rodrigo wears a floral, ruffled Rodarte shirt, a blush cowboy hat from Gladys Tamez Millinery, and Marc Jacobs drop plastic heart earrings.

Billie Eilish announced the album artwork for Happier Than Ever on April 28, 2021. The cover features a soft, glowing portrait of Eilish cast in warm light that seems paradoxical to her pose, wrapped in a white sweater as if cold. (She also sports a single tear, ironic due to the album’s title.) The typography is the vintage typeface Coronet Bold (or one of its many digital versions which include Ribbon 131) in staggered text boxes. The typeface projects a 1970s/80s aura, especially because Coronet and Ribbon 131 are very commonly-used typefaces given that they are available by default on old Windows machines.
