Grad je sinteza (“The city is a synthesis”) is a book about public spaces of Zagreb, containing interviews with architects, urbanistic planners, designers and general public. It was designed by đkć, printed by Kerschoffset, and published by Vizkultura.

Founded in the mid-1970s, the Osor Musical Evenings continue to adhere to its primary premise even in the fifth decade of its continuing existence – encouraging the creation of Croatian musical works. The Renaissance Cathedral of Osor, the central stage of the festival, has so far hosted nearly eight hundred concerts with over three hundred works commissioned by the festival from all generations of composers. The festival programmes, in addition to canonical classical music works from all periods, examine works of key figures of modern and contemporary music in Croatia, including Boris Papandopulo, Stjepan Šulek, Ivan Brkanović, Miroslav Miletić, Igor Kuljerić, Stanko Horvat, and others.

The visual identity for the 49th edition was designed by Neva Zidić using Stroy Grotesk and Stroy Mono by Hot Type with Dinamo’s ABC Honeymoon.

Dolija is a producer of extra virgin olive oil from southern Istria, Croatia. Oleg Šuran designed the visual identity. For the logo, he made early use of Punta (Hot Type), set in tracked out caps, with a superscript “08” in Nota (Typotheque). Punta is also used for the bilingual product description on the labels, here featuring its Black weight for “Dolija”, and again supported by the sans-serif Nota.

The label material is quite thick and absorbent, so that it can soak up any oil drips. This paper was a bit more expensive, so for budget reasons the labels were printed in a single color. In order to avoid a dull look, a colorful typographic stamp is added to the label by hand. Each of the seven flavors got a distinct stamp design. The fonts in use are:
• Schmalfette Fraktur (Dieter Steffmann) with Punta Black for Karbonaca,
• a mix of styles from Knockout (Hoefler & Co.) for Istarska Bjelica,
• Mostra Nuova (Mark Simonson Studio) for Leccino,
• Surveyor (Hoefler & Co.) with ornaments from Marlene Display (Typotheque) for Rafe,
• Thema Moderato (Typotheque) with Peleguer Ornaments (Tipo Pèpel) for Rošinjola,
• Turquoise (Resistenza) with alternates for Buža,
• Brioso (Adobe) for Pendolino.

The wrapping paper features text set in Surveyor, paired with Poem Script and Horizontes Script (both by Sudtipos).

Vizkultura is an online resource and news portal for arts, architecture, design and creativity. To celebrate five years of digital publishing they created their first ever printed issue – V magazin. The eclectic layout utilizes many typefaces from established Croatian type designers. The main typefaces are Punta (designed by Marko Hrastovec, available from the newly launched type foundry Hot Type) and Mote (designed by Hrvoje Živčić and available from Typotheque). Additional typefaces include Zico Sans by Hrastovec, Gordian Kapitalen, Tremolo and Francis Gradient by Nikola Đurek, and Brenner Script by Đurek & Hrastovec (all available from Typotheque).

Hrvatsko narodno kazalište (HNK) is the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb. For the 2018/2019 season, Tessa Bachrach-Krištofić of local studio NJI3 worked with Punta by Hot Type.

The visuals for each production are focused on a polished imitation of real objects, similar to the way in which the theater imitates life, but in an uncanny fashion that seems “more real than real”, with which a theatrical impression of the whole campaign is achieved.
