Тайна занавеса (The Mystery of the Curtain) was a special several-week long theatrical event at the Marina Tsvetayeva’s House Museum in Moscow. It began in February 2020 and was supposed to run until early April, but the Covid-19 pandemic cut it short. Shown here are the posters designed for the event.

Федор Достоевский. Сильные впечатления (Fyodor Dostoevsky: The Strong Impressions) was an exhibition dedicated to the Russian author’s 200th anniversary. It took place at Moscow’s State Literature Museum from May to September 2021.

Extravagant, especially for such a topic, Neue Machina (Ultrabold) and quite a traditional Times New Roman (Bold) are two typefaces that form the basis of the custom ‘chimera’ display lettering. Unexpected yet stylistically precise letters perfectly reflect Dostoevsky’s spirit in the most important messages. The same two fonts were chosen as a support team for subtitles and typesetting.

In Fear of a Blank Planet, writer Mitchell Grant explores themes such as gender inequality, the morality of death, and the futility of choice in this debut work of both postmodern clarity and magnificent scope. This is a book about starting over.
