2022 rebrand by Gretel NY. The logomark is custom, derived from WiseType’s WT Zaft. As a customizable data analytics and business intelligence (BI) platform, Mode’s rebrand played off of its ability to build charts and reports based on your data by implementing a flexible, adaptable grid system that reacts to content in unique and different ways. Put another way, Mode exists to “fill in the gaps” around customers’ data and connect them together in compelling ways. The serif typefaces allow more versatility in stretching, squashing, and manipulating type in various configurations while still retaining recognizable letterform shapes. The green color scheme and “retro” serifs also evoke images of retro computing and a “close-to-the-metal” look and feel. The brand typefaces are Grenette by Colophon and Graphik by Commercial Type.

Stripe launches a redesign of their site, replacing Camphor in favor of Klim Type Foundry’s Söhne for a more geometric look that many tech sites have been favoring lately.

Via their Twitter accounts, Jonnie Halman, designer and developer at Stripe, and developer Alex Sexton shared some fun making-of posts about the rainbow background, globe, etcetera.

Vercel pushes the variable font weights of Inter (Rasmus Andersson) to perform much like Helvetica, from carrying the weight of headlines with a super bold, tracked-in handling, to tiny body copy that’s more delicate and spaced out. Designer Nicolás Garro a.k.a. Evil Rabbit uses Inter as a one-stop-shop for Vercel’s entire brand and dashboard, and it’s extremely practical albeit a bit invisible.

Basetica helps sell the “tech” part of an app development agency website, bringing geometric characteristics to a Swiss revival grotesque. It is complemented by Trim Mono for secondary items like the top and footer menus.

In 2011, a French edition was published by Pyramyd, titled Psychologie Pour Les Créatifs / Survivre Au Travail. It uses the same basic design.

The Spotify website has been redesigned. Proxima Nova has been replaced with LL Circular — cf. Spotify brand and website (2013). The site now uses four (upright) weights from the popular typeface family by Laurenz Brunner. The spacing has been tightened, even for text sizes, although to a lesser degree than for display.
