Digital flyers for I want my money back, an archive sale by photographer Tim Bruening held at Island Hamburg in December 2022. For the typography, we paired the “High” (= low-contrast) styles of Boogie School Sans (Or Type) with the roman and italic of Nordic Pavilion (Scott Vander Zee).

LIFE is a post-punk band from Hull, England. We had the pleasure to be part of the process and designed the artwork for their album North East Coastal Town. It was released on vinyl, compact disc, and cassette tape.

The album is about a sense of belonging and connection to the hometown, both musically and lyrically. Water turned out to be the unifying element for the band members and we translated this element into our design. The record cover was created in an analogous manner, by cutting up letters, rearranging them, distorting them with water and then capturing them photographically.

Typografische Monatsblätter served as the source of inspiration for the typographic idea.

We worked exclusively with Scott Vander Zee’s Default Sans in three weights: Bold, Regular + Italic and Book.
