Skritur is a collaborative initiative founded by three
independent graphic designers (Fañch Le Henaff, Yoann De Roeck,
Malou Verlomme) who identify, decipher, interpret and design in the
field of the written word (inscribed, calligraphic, typographic) in
Brittany in particular, but more broadly in Celtic countries and in
any place where idiomatic particularities and singular graphics are
mixed.
Stemming from the eponymous book published in 1995,
Skritur is first and foremost a cultural project, today
materialised by this website, which aims to become the portal of

Stemming from the eponymous book published in 1995, Skritur is first and foremost a cultural project, today materialised by this website, which aims to become the portal of these particular spellings, through articles, interviews, project reports, etc. related to these concerns. Backed up by the cultural project, the practice of typeface design constitutes the other side of Skritur: a micro-foundry that offers the public the opportunity to use certain typefaces in relation to the contents at home, in return for an investment that serves above all to cover the operating costs of the initiative and to enable its development.
