Like many Czechoslovak movie posters of the 1960s–90s, this one for Akira Kurosawa’s Kagemusha has its own simple accent for the Š. The designer, Vratislav Ševčík, must have been disappointed with the options included on the rubdown sheet.

Poster for На Гранатовых островах, or The Pomegranate Island, a Soviet film produced in 1981, directed by Tamara Lisitsian, and starring Kirill Lavrov, Vladimir Sedov, and Aleksandr Solovyov.

The Czechoslovak poster was designed by Vratislav Ševčík. He used Motter Ombra for the title, featuring custom diacritics made of fine lines that are commonly found on predigital posters from Eastern European countries. Chances are they were made from the lines and spacing underscores included on Letraset sheets.
