Portuguese A.Cruz Design Studio designed the label and packaging for Casa das Margens, a farm producing a small edition of wine using a caste typical from the small sub-region of the Douro (Baião), Portugal. The studio realised that their client was producing an exceptional wine of an unusual quality so they offered a different approach.

They came up with a new name for the wine and presented a concept that was quite different from what the customer initially intended: a very assertive label with the Patacão name set in bold Grotzec capitals, to distinguish it clearly from other brands. The name also appears on the box and on corks. The information on the back of the label seems to be set in Dolly.
