While some ice cream brands want you to try their Neapolitan, Coolhaus encourages you to savor the taste of fries dipped in your milkshake. When Coolhaus approached us to collaborate on their rebrand, we were invited to imagine an identity for a brand founded on the belief that ice cream offers endless possibilities. We chose to center the brand direction on “Edible Creativity,” highlighting the unique personalities behind every flavor and SKU through evocative naming, vibrant colors, and a robust custom illustration system. We developed a cohesive brand hierarchy that seamlessly adapted across 60 SKUs and three distinct categories: Dairy, Dairy-Free, and Animal-Free Dairy.

This included six different packaging formats, from pints and individual sammies to cones and multi-item boxes. Each SKU featured its own set of custom illustrations and color schemes, contributing to a comprehensive library of over 100 unique illustrations. With creativity at the heart of Coolhaus’s brand DNA, we create a fun illustration system that would allow their internal teams to design new flavors with ease.

The fonts in use are Agrandir by Alex Slobzheninov and Pangram Sans Rounded by Mat Desjardins and Valerio Monopoli, both distributed by Pangram Pangram Foundry. The logo could be either custom lettering, or based on a font.

DaVinci by Virgile Flores, and Haffer by Martin Vácha are the brand typefaces of Quality Experience. From design studio &Walsh:

Quality Experience (QX) is an independent, full-service advertising agency on a mission to foster purposeful interactions between brands and their audiences by creating quality experiences. QX applies meticulous care to every aspect of their work, creating an environment where bold ideas can flourish. We tapped into this by embracing tension and duality, creating brand assets that showcase a striking balance between safety and danger. The brand centers around a dynamic logo system that adapts to the different personalities and tones of QX’s clients and projects.

OLLY is a wellness company working to change the way society views and talks about health. The 2023 Big Vagina Energy campaign features their premium line of women’s wellness products. […] We wanted to dive into the meaning behind the Big Vagina Energy message […]. To bring the spot to life in an ownable way, we crafted the OLLYverse — from lighting, set development, and color palette, to the custom typographic elements built into each set and space.

Olly's whole identity consistently features the almost ubiquitous Gotham. Even their logo looks like a customized version of the typeface, with narrower L and a Y featuring a higher waist. But for this campaign, &Walsh decided to make a side-step and use another sans serif, meaning NaN Hyena Noon, in its Ultra weight. It seems that, with this choice, &Walsh wanted to double down on the notions of boldness (pun intended), confidence, but also give a more personal voice to the campaign.

The Vilcek Prize for Excellence, introduced in 2019, is awarded to immigrants who have had a significant impact on both American society and world culture as well as individuals who are dedicated champions of immigrant causes.

We designed the official Prize for Excellence award given to each year’s winner. We used detailed illustrations to create surreal combinations of impactful historical contributions to humanity in the realms of math, science & art.

The certificate comes in an embossed box, for a lace effect due to the highly ornamental style of the illustration.

The title of the prize as well as the awardee’s name and the field are set in Digestive, corroborating the almost psychedelic aspect of the mandala-like illustration by Matteo Giuseppe Pani. Accompanying text is in ITC Tiepolo.

Isodope is the online persona of Isabelle Boemeke, a nuclear energy influencer who wants to change what the world thinks about nuclear, one TikTok video at a time. This is a self-funded project with the goal to change public opinion to help solve the climate crisis.

Nuclear historically has had a bad rep & Isodope's goal is to change the public’s perception on it. After all, it is one of the safest and cleanest forms of energy available to us today. The Isodope persona and brand is built to put people’s fear around nuclear at ease through memes that are easy to digest and even easier to share.

Isodope is changing the face of science communications, to share good ideas and mobilise people behind them.

The brilliant design agency &Walsh worked closely with the Isodope team to create a brand refresh and used F37 Foundry’s font F37 Judge to ensure the headlines pack a punch. Terminal Grotesque is used for single line sentences, ABC Monument Grotesk for long copy, and Tronica Mono for captions and numbers.
