The National Basketball Association (NBA) introduced a refreshed mark by The Original Champions of Design and steadily started integrating it in 2017. The overall identity will be officially put into place across all properties for the 2018-19 regular season beginning October 16, 2018. [NBA]

This is a very slight update of an original 1969 logo by Siegel+Gale. The player shown in silhouette is still that of Los Angeles Laker Jerry West. The typeface used on the updated identity is Commercial Type's Action Condensed designed by LettError, replacing a previous variety of sans serifs.

The Recording Academy, the profession society of music professionals known for its Grammy Awards worked with the branding agency Siegel+Gale on their new identity. They chose Typotheque’s Francis Gradient font, a capital-only sans-serif typeface with a high contrast of thick and thin strokes, that is able to dynamically increase or decrease character widths, programmed with OpenType smart glyph substitutions.

Siegel+Gale used the gradient feature to its full extent, animating the logo, where it responds to the sound and rhythm of music it is paired with.

The text typeface used on the grammy.com website is Galaxie Polaris.

In 2014, Monster introduced a new identity and brand positioning designed by the global brand strategy, design and experience firm Siegel+Gale.

The rebranding landed on Paste Magazine’s list of “The 10 Biggest Rebrands of 2014” with a glowing review: “Memorable and innovative, the logo is an excellent reinforcement of Monster’s brand mission.”

“Over the years, the Y became an amazingly vibrant and diverse organization, but its great success and growth also led to a bewildering profusion of identities. The main organizational message and meaning of the Y were obscured; research revealed that most people were not aware of the depth and breadth of the organization's role in society. To address the issue, Y-USA, the national council to the nation's more than 2,600 Ys, initiated an awareness campaign.

Siegel+Gale's research quickly revealed that misperceptions of the Y were so widespread that an awareness campaign alone would not correct it. Many people still thought of the organization as merely a provider of services—such as fitness and swimming lessons—because the Y lacked a clear definition of the central importance it provides to the communities it serves.

Around the affable name, we crafted an engaging visual system, incorporating a range of bright color combinations that mirrors the Y's diversity of programs and audiences. The evolved logo transformed what had been all sharp angles and flat geometry into a softly rounded, almost three-dimensional mark that proves to be welcoming and flexible across media.”
