Vita is a magazine dedicated to social storytelling, volunteerism, economic and environmental sustainability, and the nonprofit world.

The October 2023 issue of Vita magazine is dedicated to ESG (Environment Governance Social) politics. In particular the periodical tries to underline the weakness of the S of “Social” in the most popular acronym of the moment. It contains a discussion among influential voices from economics, activism, academia and even politics.

The art direction of the magazine is by Matteo Riva, and the cover of the October issue is designed by Michele Galluzzo. For both the cover and headlines of this issue, the magazine chose to use Baustraße by Fantasia Type) available on the Future Fonts platform.

The other typefaces used are Druk, Atlas Grotesk and Austin, all from Commercial Type.

GOG – Gäste Ospiti Guests – is an exhibition of the projects developed by the students of the Faculty of Design and Art of the unibz – Bolzano, South Tyrol, Italy. At the end of each semester, the work produced by the students in the fields of visual communication, product design and art is displayed in the spaces of the Italian university.

The visual communication developed for the winter semester 2022/23 edition of GOG uses the Baustraße font designed by Fantasia Type. It’s supported by Folio. The unibz logo uses FF DIN.

Lamantera is an Italian company that recycles and transforms organic wool into footwear, scarves and capes, such as the mantera, a word that in the Italian Abruzzo dialect indicates the felted wool cape, for centuries the shepherd’s companion during winters and transhumance.

Cemer was chosen for the logotype, the letters of which were also used as modules for the design of the trademark icon. See also Lamantera’s Instagram account.

PDR_EP03_Bodies-As-Infrastructures is an artistic project curated by Post Disaster, a critical learning platform on the condition of the mediterranean scenario based in Taranto, Puglia, Italy.

Post Disaster Rooftops are collective performances aiming to de-centralize the production and sharing of knowledge, which is usually absorbed by the territories that benefit economic and cultural advantages.
They take place on the city roofs, understood as non-conventional spaces that are free from the main hegemonic forms of organisation of life and capital. Although they are urban spaces, the rooftops are not subject to the traditional spatial regulations, allowing a wide freedom of action.

The main reference for the visual identity designed by Michele Galluzzo comes from Ilio Negri, one of the protagonist of the Milanese graphic design from the sixties and seventies who worked for the national Italsider – Italy's leading metallurgical company with one of its largest and most controversial sites in Taranto. A generative alphabet designed by Negri himself was created for another steel company, Flexider, in the 1970s. Kept at the CDPG Aiap in Milan, it provided the basis for a new one. From this matrix, the letters P, D and R (the initials for Post Disaster Rooftops) were designed, which are grafted parasitically into Nebiolo’s Forma alphabet (a collective character in which Negri participated) recently redesigned by David Jonathan Ross as Forma DJR.

Visual identity for Skin & the City, a four episodes podcast by Italian comedian and journalist Giada Biaggi. As the author herself says: “Philosophy and skincare are much closer than you might think; because in the end we are all imperfect under what French thinker Jean-Luc Nancy calls ‘the fragile skin of the world’.”

This project is realised in partnership with Caudalie, the famous French maison of natural cosmetics.

Titles for the video clip of the music single “Souvenir” by Italian singer-songwriter Elasi. Shot in 2021 inside the Macao community centre in Milan by Vittoria Paglino, the video is consistent with the singer’s aesthetic: dreamlike and subtly baroque atmospheres interwoven in a pop dance that represents the soul of the project. The single is taken from the EP Campi elasi produced by the label Neverending Mina.

From 2003 to 2008 I had a band together with three/four friends of mine. Its name was At Olimpio’s grandmother. I thought we were psycho-garage. But in reality we were a lot of badly recorded things.

This is the cover of Ombre Lunghe, a bootleg that contains three years of music. You can find it on Bandcamp.

Cemer with added eyes is also used for the header graphic on the Bandcamp site.

Campionario is a collection of prints designed by Michele Galluzzo, released by Press Press at Spazio Florida, Milano in 2019.

It's a screenprinted folder produced in a limited and numbered edition of 10.
It contains:

“Brush folder: 2014 – 2019”, the first issue of the Campionario project, presents
Michele Galluzzo’s work: a selection of sketches and notes related to digital brushes
designed using software such as Adobe Illustrator and Savage Interactive Procreate.
The title of the collection refers to the virtual folder – created with the name ‘Brush’ – in which the original files are saved starting from 2014.

To launch the project, an exhibition was held at the Parco Gallery in Milan in February 2020.
