Keef

British designer, photographer, director and TV producer, born Feb. 13, 1947. Real name is Keith Stuart Macmillan. Used the pseudonym “Keef” (and occasionally “Marcus Keef”) early in his career to avoid confusion with established photographer Keith Lionel McMillan (1934–2012). Studied photography at Royal College of Art. Created numerous album covers, predominantly as in-house designer at Vertigo Records, but also for RCA/Neon, Nepentha, and Cube Records. Toward the end of the 1970s, he shifted his focus to directing music videos and, from the 1990s, to producing TV shows.
