Self-published and collaborative project initiated by photographer François Ollivier, Bises (kisses in French) is a collection of photographs, memories, words and sounds organized by destinations. Through the act of wandering and travelling, Bises invites us to contemplate what’s around us and our relationship with the places we visit, the moments we live.

All typography uses different styles of Woodland, except for the logo which is set in Beatrice Italic. Each edition from this first batch printed in 2018 was created by a different graphic designer.

Échelles was born out of a desire to create an interdisciplinary platform for Environmental Design, presenting work from voices as diverse as the scales of design it touches upon.

The publication plays with the limits, of and between these scales, looking to bridge the gap between different design practices by exploring the artistic, historical, social, and political implications of design. Échelles is an annual publication comprising essays, criticism, stories, interviews, conversations and reflections about the built environment.

“Le Cabinet Salon” is an imaginary multidisciplinary office that looks to provide a platform for learning, a circle of reflection, of experiences and of knowledge; the territory from which springs the unexpected. Le Cabinet Salon acts as an archive of books of all sorts, and is most fascinated by encyclopedias, each one as different and exciting as the next. It is open-minded and driven by a variety of unexpected themes, giving into to the pleasure of conversation and taking pleasure in their curiosity. The project aims to explore different types of possible classifications and tools to navigate through a bookshop.

The typography makes use of Masqualero, a high contrast display typeface that comes with a prismatic weight named Masqualero Groove (designed by Jim Ford and released at Monotype 2017), and Toshna, a revival of Tschörtner-Antiqua (1955) by ASType.

Pica is a student-run project that celebrates the vitality of UQAM’s multidisciplinary artistic community and encourages hybrid collaboration. Its aim is to promote the development of local talent and connect with an international audience with educative talks, workshops and an annual publication. Pica is a playground where errors are encouraged and boundaries pushed.
