Dickinson

The Dickinson Type Foundry was established by Samuel Nelson Dickinson in Boston in 1839 or 1840. [Devroye, 1856 catalog] Also known as Phelps, Dalton. [Circuitous Root] Merged into American Type Founders at its creation in 1892. Their house organ was titled, Type [Typo, Apr 1889].
