New York-based Zero Studios reimagined Chomps with a bold, cohesive identity built to dominate the snack aisle and scale across digital and retail environments. From packaging to social media, the work balances immediacy with clarity. The direct messaging, high contrast color, with a playful tone and visual presence position the brand as energetic and a little bit rebellious.

The typographic system is anchored by Mindset from PintassilgoPrints, an all-caps sans serif designed by Erica Jung and Ricardo Marcin, in just two weights (Regular and Slim) with enough range to establish hierarchy while keeping the brand voice tight and unmistakable. Colby from J Foundry runs deep (six widths, five weights, italics) but Zero pulls just a single cut, letting its character do the work. That kind of restraint says something about the confidence of the system. ITC Franklin Gothic handles the smaller text, bringing familiar American sans serif authority where structure and readability are key.

Together, the type palette reflects the broader strategy: strong, efficient, and built for impact. Zero’s work shows how a restrained typographic system—when deployed with precision—can carry an entire brand with confidence.

Genomic Gastronomy’s Eyes on the Field project uses typography to mirror its themes of experimentation, ecology, and global food systems. The display type is Solvent from PintassilgoPrints—an inky, fluid, all-caps face with forms that sit somewhere between liquid and oil. Its quirky, decorative shapes give the project an expressive vibe, emphasizing the potential for transformation. Supporting text is set in Space Mono from Colophon, a monospace sans serif designed for Google Fonts that offers structure and a technical edge to the brand.

The pairing creates a lively tension: Solvent’s organic, almost unstable quality set against Space Mono’s precise, engineered rhythm. Together, they underscore the project’s blend of art, science, and environmental storytelling.

Eyes on the Field: Porto was a collaboration between Genomic Gastronomy, Nicetrails, Venn Canteen with Barney Pau, and Formiga Gloriosa and was supported by the E.U. S+T+ARTS MUSAE project. This event use the BITZ digital tool to facilitate participatory, place-based, species-quests in various landscapes.

For the artwork on Margo Price’s latest album, Hard Headed Woman, the typographic palette echoes the grit and charm of classic Americana. Her name appears in Ars Nova from PintassilgoPrints—a decorative, Art Nouveau-inspired display face whose bold, squarish forms instantly signal a sense of time and place. The album title is set in Cottonwood, an Adobe Originals typeface from 1991 inspired by 19th-century Western wood type, adding a rugged, frontier-style texture to the composition. Smaller supporting text uses News Gothic, a quintessential American sans serif designed by Morris Fuller Benton for American Type Founders in 1908.

The typographic mix feels rooted in time, and a little rebellious, by blending vintage influences with a modern confidence that mirrors Price’s own blend of country: true Americana and outlaw soul. The typography extends across the album packaging, the deluxe boxed set, and merchandise—giving the entire release a cohesive, unmistakably American voice.

On July 20, 2024, Blink-182 played a show at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, South Carolina. Brazilian illustrator and poster designer Pedro Correa paired his intensely detailed illustration style with two different typefaces from PintassilgoPrints. Both Pieches and Skaligari do an excellent job of echoing the music—wild, kinetic, and loud! The result is a poster where type and image come together in cacophonous rhythm, capturing the feel of a live rock concert.

Indiaah is a product range of Indian snacks, including Chikki and Masala Muri, by the brand Bisk Farm. These products are made by SAJ Food Products (P) Ltd, the parent company of Bisk Farm, and are known for incorporating traditional Indian ingredients like jaggery, rice, peanuts, and spices. The Indiaah brand is positioned as a celebration of authentic Indian flavors.

The logo uses Samarkan, with caps from Caxton for “Bisk Farm”. The package designs feature a range of typefaces. The main font currently is Marujo. Previously it was Duralith.

On 7 September 2023, Foo Fighters played the Estádio Couto Pereira in Curitiba, Brazil. Brazilian illustrator and poster designer Pedro Correa paired his intensely detailed illustration with Soundstar, a typeface from PintassilgoPrints. Both the artwork and the font echo one another with lots of detail and the same feeling of playful, chaotic energy.

A rescue inside the most dangerous building in Latin America. This is Samantha's objective in The Basement, a gamebook set during the Brazilian civil-military dictatorship. Citing real characters and situations experienced during the armed struggle during the resistance to the military regime, the narrative fluidly and emotionally interweaves fact and fiction.

The story takes place shortly after the signing of AI-5, the most brutal period of the era, when torture and violence against government opponents were institutionalized. Cecília was captured in an ambush by DOPS agents and taken to a police station where detainees are held in degrading conditions. Samantha immediately decides to storm the DOPS building. It's up to the player-reader to determine how impossible this rescue mission is, and to do so, they'll need to make choices and roll dice, relying on both their wits and luck—and perhaps rewrite the course of history.

The synopsis is set in Bookmania, with all-caps Helvetica Condensed for the URLs and social media handles.

Omnes is one of the brand typefaces for Oatsome. The German food startup offers smoothie bowls, crunchy toppings, nut spreads and other products for a healthy diet, all with 100% natural ingredients and no additives or added sugar.

Darden Studio’s selectively rounded sans is available in four widths: Narrow, Condensed, Semicondensed, and Standard. The Oatsome designers work with several of them, in various styles including the italic. Omnes Condensed and Narrow are being used for the product descriptions. These space-saving fonts also come in handy for placing all relevant consumer info like nutrition facts on the packaging designs.

Omnes is combined with Stick-A-Round by PintassilgoPrints. The unicase sans is used with some of its playful ligatures and nested letter pairs for the product names. The Oatsome logo features Shinntype’s Aptly in lowercase letters.

When Darden Studio introduced Omnes Widths, we designed promotional graphics with condiment packs. These demonstrated how dry information like lists of ingredients can still be presented in ways that are readable and appealing alike. We’re thrilled to see such an application in the wild!

We loved spotting our Greycliff CF in the pages – and pixels – of Allerhande, the free magazine of Albert Heijn, of the major supermarkets in the Netherlands. Since November 2017 it has been used for the magazine and related socials and products, alongside Quadraat by Fred Smeijers and an ever-changing selection of guest typefaces.

Greycliff CF brings friendly strength and rock-solid clarity to every page and post. Built on the legacy of classic sans serifs, it takes inspiration from mid-century design’s clean, honest geometry, updated with soft corners and humanist touches that make it warm and welcoming. With a wide range of weights, matching italics, and excellent language support, it’s a workhorse with personality – ideal for branding, editorial, packaging, and more. In print, it’s bold and grounded; on screen, it’s crisp and easy to read. No wonder it fits so naturally into Allerhande’s vibrant and accessible voice!

During a brand activation, Nubank brought Leslie David Baker to Brazil to star in an advertising film. In the story line, he moves to the country for retirement but ends up diving into entrepreneurship. That's how the “Planos no Papel” stationery came to life, later materializing into a pop-up store. Influenced by the character’s life, including jazz and bossa nova, the visual identity took shape. The event’s giveaways featured illustrations highlighting the balance between relaxation and work.

As Leslie himself would say: “a bit of work and a bit of rest.” To reflect this balance, we chose two main typefaces for the project: Ferpa, from the Brazilian foundry Typeoca, with its sharp edges and serious serif representing the work ethic, and Minute from PintassilgoPrints, mimicking a handwritten note, capturing the relaxed vibe of vacation.

Formação Política do Agronegócio is an essential book for understanding contemporary Brazil. Caio Pompeia examines the political intricacies of the self-proclaimed most important sector of the national economy. From the origin of the concept of agribusiness at Harvard University, in the 1950s — soon used as a front for imperialist expansion by the United States —, to the first years of the Jair Bolsonaro government, through internal disputes between entities that represent Brazilian agribusiness within and outside the farms, the author explains in detail, giving names to the oxen, how agriculture entered the State and imposed its agenda on the country, with successive attempts to pass the tractor over agrarian reform, indigenous rights, environmental preservation and the will of the polls.

The font designed by Brazilian studio PintassilgoPrints was also used for the opening titles. Credits on the posters are set in Jim Parkinson’s space-saving ITC Roswell Three.

Geeks On A Beach (GOAB) is a tech conference that first took place in 2013 on Boracay Island, Philippines.

GOAB a place of dialogue for people that care about tomorrow. It’s an exchange-of-ideas conference that discusses some of today’s pressing topics set along the shores of some of the most beautiful beaches in the world - serious conversations in a relaxed atmosphere.

Initially organized annually, GOAB had to take a break after the 2017 event, but will return in November 2023 for its sixth incarnation, hosting “more than 500 entrepreneurs, investors, innovators and global leaders in tech, startup, and design for an event filled with insightful conversations and opportunities to build up on the things that are important, set in a world-class beach resort in the Philippines.”

Since the beginning, the event’s visual identity by Happy Garaje is centered around Swung Note. Released in 2010, this font by PintassilgoPrints from Florianópolis, Brazil, is packed with hundreds of interlocking pairs, referencing a lettering style that became popular in the 1960s and is often associated with surf culture, among other things.

The graphics for the inaugural event additionally featured another PintassilgoPrints release with such smart interlocking caps: Sundowners (2012) is lighter and narrower than Swung Note. Co-designer Erica Jung says that its design was inspired by the album cover for The Lightning Fingers of Roy Clark from 1963 – which uses a typeface recently identified by Josh Korwin as Safari.

Over the years, GOAB employed a range of secondary fonts including Underware’s Bello Caps (in 2013) and Holis Majid’s Rockinsoda (in 2023).

Cover design for a new book about a piece of Black history that has not before been summarized in quite this way. Written by Atticus Bagby-Williams and Nsambu Za Suekama, and edited by Shannon Fauwkes with Howard Waitzkin, Black Anarchism and the Black Radical Tradition will be published by Daraja Press in January 2023.

Colorful and extra-juicy, the packaging of EDEKA fruit juices was designed by Agentur Jung, using the vibrant and no less juicy Daft Brush font by PintassilgoPrints.

The picture book Heb mal ein Bein! (“Lift a leg!”) asks many questions: Who speaks in a book? When do pictures come to life? What is a story? What is a book anyway? What does the author have to do with it? The answers don’t seem easy, but in this story they end up being just that.

HEB MAL EIN BEIN! was awarded by the Stiftung Buchkunst as one of the 25 most beautiful German books of 2023.

The main font is Ziclets which has a really spongy 70s playful feel and informs the whole website. I chat to people about their overcoming stories but with a good deal of hope and humour. I think Ziclets embodies this. I’m biased but I’ve not seen many sites use this typeface, it’s an unsung headline typeface with a psychedelic vibe. On the website it’s supported by Goudy Bookletter 1911 and Apple Color Emoji.

The books Os Condenados da Terra (“The Wretched of the Earth”, 1961) and Por Uma Revolução Africana (“Toward the African Revolution”, 1964) by Frantz Fanon – one of the most important thinkers of the anti-racist and anti-colonial struggle – were recently re-released in Brazil by publishing house Zahar.

The careful editions bring critical essays, including a preface by Jean-Paul Sartre to the original 1961 edition of Os Condenados da Terra.
