Alphatype

A sister company to Filmotype formed in 1956, initially to market a body text typesetter. Launched the Alphatype in 1961, the AlphaSette in 1972, the AlphaComp direct-entry phototypesetter in 1974, and the Alphatype CRS digital phototypesetter in 1977.
