Goodbois Gallery is a space for creativity, the community and culture that opened on the 17th of October in Munich. Concepted with more courage to creative freedom and embodies the highest quality.

The design of the gallery and the clothes are strongly influenced by old-fashioned galleries, which are presented here in a sporty way, as can be seen from the atlas or the swirl logo, which is intended to reflect the Olympic logo of Munich 1972 in a modern way.

Recoleta, with its blend of classic and modern looks, has become the brand quote typeface at Goodbois. Alongside bolder fonts like Tina and Ben, which evoke the gallery’s main G logo, it appears to be very strong. In between you find as well the wide version of FB Titling Gothic representing Goodbois Studios – the Creatives Services Network of the brand. On the flag and invite, CA Slalom is used for information.

With the invite, everyone received a handmade personal G invitation emblem (made together with Atelier Maria Cepissakova) as an example for future concepts to foster the neighborhood community and inspire creativity through craftsmanship.

Staying with the trouble is an art exhibition organized by the Tiroler Künstler:innenschaft, in the context of the program of Art in public space Tyrol. For the 2021 edition, the open call for artworks was based on Donna J. Haraway’s eponymous book: the biologist and science philosopher develops the idea that we are living the collapse of the world, and rather than finding new livable futures as humans, the most useful paradigm would be to live the end of the world together with animals, minerals, vegetals, all boundaries blurred without any distinction of species. In the climate of political, ecological and sociological crisis we experienced with the Covid-19 pandemic, this mythology offers a brand new path that artists explored in their propositions for the program.

The identity was conceived by fertig design, who focused their branding on the use of two very idiosyncratic typefaces in two different manners: Cheesy Tots by Erik Sachse and Gothic Lab from Production Type. Cheesy Tots is a chaotic typeface with unstable shapes that seem to be falling apart, and each letter looks to be barely compatible with the other: we find there the idea of collapse and fragility invoked by Haraway’s concept. On the other hand, Gothic Lab is an experiment on algorithm-generated fonts with stochastic rasters: applied to wildlife-inspired patterns, this principle is almost an organism created on its own, letters with animal attributes. Union is used for all smaller text.

All items are printed in green on recycled paper and display a few natural tones for the descriptions of the artworks located in the nature. The artworks will be exhibited this autumn in a shopping mall, botanical gardens, and the nearby forest of Innsbruck.

The exhibition title is set in Cheesy Tots and Gothic Lab Gecko and Tigre Snow.

On-screen graphics, set design and advertising for HBO Max’s Legendary –

a voguing reality competition web series, exploring the world of ball culture. It premiered on HBO Max on May 27, 2020. The series follows LGBT house members – predominantly from eight houses – as they navigate through nine balls (dancing/voguing/walking events), with US$100,000 prize for the winning house.

The logo is based on Rainer, with a custom barless A. The show additionally uses a range of other recently released typefaces for the names of the eight houses.

The contestants belong to eight houses, each of which has a typographic logo set in a different typeface, in all caps. From top to bottom: Lanvin (Marle), Ebony (Cosi Times), Balmain (Monarch, identified by Jay), Gorgeous Gucci (Cosi Azure), Escada (Love), West (Brutal), St. Laurent (Grand Slang), Ninja (Tina and Ben, identified by Jay).

Poster. The secondary fonts are ITC Avant Garde Gothic and the similar Gilroy, which is HBO Max’s corporate typeface.

érographie is a crowd-sourced campaign inviting participants to draw letters or other glyphs during an orgasm and submit the results. They will later be turned into a digital typeface.

This “awkward” demand requires an equally atypical identity. Hence the choice of Jons Hair by Napoleon Typefaces for the logotype. With its expanded width, uneven strokes and strong contrast, the typeface captivates the eye, and incites the viewer to look further. The experimental vibe it emits mimics that of the project.

It was paired with Untitled Sans by Klim Type Foundry, a neutral and clear font that makes the instructions on the card and website easy to read and allows the logo to stand out. In this context, Jons Hair and Untitled Sans blend awkwardness with clarity and legibility.

Catalog with works by students who graduated from Akademie der Bildenden Künste (AdBK) Nürnberg in 2018. The book includes 33 portfolios, each of which starts with a eccentric, erratic CV introduction page, followed by three clean double-spreads showing selected works.

The glossy dust cover showing Alpha and Omega as symbols for the ­beginning and end of studies, the duo-Pantone finish and plain imagery on the main cover (entrance and exit of the AdBK), as well as literary works on the topic of opening a new chapter / braving the unknown, all help to turn this catalog into an affirmative and endorsing way of waving our good-byes to student life.

Posters for the “Freie Kunst lecture series 2017” at the Bauhaus-University Weimar. Design by Erik Sachse, with Starla by Napoleon Typefaces. Each speaker could suggest objects for their poster. Those objects were ‘inflated’ digitally with 3D-software.

Bazis.ro: In order to buy time, find cover or hide, add smoke or ambiguous and confusing information! It is relatively common for different meanings to share the same word. Paired with the increasing amount of information available online these days, this results in an evergrowing possibility of finding incorrect information due to confusion caused by ambiguous words.

The World in Time is a chapter from A Short History of the World by H.G. Wells. A whimsical and winding Deb by Erik Sachse (Napoleon Typefaces) has been used for headings. Set in Adobe Caslon.
