Renata Motyka has designed the visual identity for the exhibition Planetary Consciousness. Ecosystems of Care at the School of Digital Art, Manchester Metropolitan University. It was curated by Eliza Urwanowicz-Rojecka and Jakub Wróblewski.

It is another project designed to promote Polish and Ukrainian contemporary digital art, co-delivered by the Arsenal Gallery in Białystok and the 3D and Virtual Occurrences II Studio, Faculty of Media Art at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw.

The project has been inspired by the concept of planetary consciousness, in reference to a theory by sociologist and globalisation theorist Roland Robertson, who introduced the notion of global consciousness (Robertson 1992, 2014). Thus termed by Robertson, the shift towards the world-universe relationship already assumed that the global perspective would transcend into the planetary.

The exhibition was presented from November 4th to December 2nd 2025 at the School of Digital Arts (SODA), Manchester Metropolitan University 14 Higher Chatham St, Manchester M15 6ED.

An identity designed to speak the language of mindful movement. A brand that transforms movement into visual balance, capturing harmony and dynamism in a single mark.

The brand concept stems from a reflection on a series of key words. From these ideas a visual system takes shape, expressing the dual nature of Gaia Andrenacci’s work: the precision of technical practice and the fluidity of natural motion. The goal was to translate these sensations into a graphic language that is simple, clean, and contemporary—able to convey well-being, professionalism, and presence, without sacrificing lightness or elegance.

The mark is born from the union of Gaia’s initials, G and A, interpreted as a single circular gesture. Its primary form is a modulated circle: circularity symbolizes cycles, breath, and the perfection of movement. The symbol is the brand’s core identifying element. Inspired by the body’s movements in Pilates, it is built entirely from the circle, which gives it harmonious proportions and a sense of visual balance. The two initials merge fluidly, without interruption, creating a sign that suggests the idea of continuous motion. It is a dynamic yet stable symbol, able to embody energy, dynamism, and control at once.

The payoff is conceived as an oxymoron—an encounter between two opposing concepts that together perfectly express Gaia’s philosophy. “Balance” represents stability, awareness, and bodily control; “movement,” on the other hand, evokes fluidity, adaptability, and growth. The word movement is written in italics to convey dynamism and progression, while balance retains a static, orderly form, symbolizing solidity. Together, they create a visual and conceptual contrast that becomes the heart of the brand message.

The fonts used are Telegraf for the logo and Mori for the payoff “Balanca in motion” and secondary typography.

I’m Payam Zadeh, a graphic designer and web designer based in Cologne, Germany. As an Awwwards jury member, I bring my passion for clear design and thoughtful typography into every project. For my personal website and branding, I’m using Mori by Pangram Pangram – a versatile gothic sans serif inspired by contemporary Japanese design. The typeface combines clarity with subtle personality, reflecting exactly what I stand for as a designer: functionality meets conscious aesthetics.

When a typeface called Woodland is used for the guidebook and visual identity of a forest (the New Forest is a national park), I believe that might qualify for an instance of LTypI. That said, I think the type works very well, and the illustrations that accompany Woodland in the branding add great character. According to Wikipedia:

The New Forest is one of the largest remaining tracts of unenclosed pasture land, heathland and forest in Southern England, covering southwest Hampshire and southeast Wiltshire. It was proclaimed a royal forest by William the Conqueror, featuring in the Domesday Book.

Mirá is an artisanal bakery that blends tradition and innovation, drawing on Japanese and Brazilian knowledge to reinvent breadmaking. Inspired by the scientific method and the ancestral art of bread, Mirá is a space where memory, research, and haute cuisine converge – turning the experience of bread into an act of culture and experimentation.

For the identity of Bélanger Faucets, we selected the Mori and Queens typefaces to create a balance between modernity and elegance. Pangram Pangram’s Mori, with its geometric and timeless shapes, reflects the precision and functionality of the product. Meanwhile, Queens by Kilotype brings uniqueness and refinement, embodying the world of interior design. The contrast and rhythm between these fonts ensure visual synergy, reinforcing an identity that is both contemporary and sophisticated.

Industry Standard's Experience Residency is a nine-month paid program designed for early to mid-career professionals in post-production. The program focuses on hands-on experience, career development, and mentorship within the entertainment industry. Participants are placed in leading Host Studios such as RadicalMedia, Campfire Studios, and Union Editorial, working on projects across film, television, branded content, and gaming. Their website was designed and developed by Portland-based design studio Central Office.

The role of the Mori typeface – used throughout the Industry Standard website in a single weight – is to create a visual balance between professionalism and creativity. As a bold, geometric sans-serif font, Mori ensures readability and structural clarity, which is crucial for effectively communicating key information. At the same time, playful elements like the distinctive, quirky design of the letter G inject subtle personality into the overall design. This nuanced approach helps the website project both authority and approachability, aligning with the site's goal of nurturing creativity and innovation within the media industry. By using Mori, the brand is able to visually convey its identity as modern, inclusive, and forward-thinking.

Albra Book is used on the packaging of Little Larch. It’s paired with Mori. The logo is based on Räder.

Burnaby Lake by Create Properties is a 14-acre mixed-use master-planned community in Burnaby designed by Hariri Pontarini Architects. Burnaby Lake offers human-scale architecture surrounded by nature. Burnaby Lake will provide 127,000 square feet of green space with 3,700 new homes.

Vanderbrand developed a name, brand strategy, and brand identity for Burnaby Lake that reflects its emphasis on the surrounding landscape. The name and identity embody Burnaby Lake’s values of sustainability, community, and connection. A visual system of geometric icons represents key characteristics of the area.

Over the years, Brazilian pay television channel GNT has delved into the women's universe. From the Behance page:

Globo uses Mori together with Romie in this rebranding effort for GNT.

We are SERIOUS.BUSINESS, a global branding and design agency founded in 2015. We are renowned for our bold creativity and focus on human connection. The recent rebrand, reflecting our transition from a traditional office setup to a global, fully remote team, introduces a unique brand identity. This new identity embodies our playful yet professional approach to branding and underscores the belief that branding should be the most enjoyable aspect of running a company.

The new website, featuring Nib and Mori, balances serious and fun elements, offering an engaging, tactile experience. The focus on micro-interactions is designed to captivate users, encouraging them to stay longer and explore more, enhancing their overall experience. The logo combines ITC Souvenir with a sans.

RAW is a brand from Poland that creates and sells minimalist wood furniture. The logo
was redesigned, taking inspiration from light and open round furniture details. The roundness was a guideline for selecting the logo’s base font: Mori, which we subtly trimmed with ink traps. The most visible one is in the crossbar of the letter A.

The logo becomes light and rhythmical, thanks to the usage of the uppercase letters, and a large letter spacing between them. It is accompanied by the tagline – which helps the customer to understand what the brand stands for, and information about the product's origin. The tag lines – in English and Polish – are set in Neue Haas Grotesk Display. This decision was based on the readability of Polish diacritics marks.

The new identity is using snapshots from the forest, presenting wood structures or carpentry processes, which helps in telling brand stories about the manufacturing and custom-made products. The color palette is also taking inspiration from nature, by using warm beige colors and dark brown for text. Typographic and image compositions with one big dominant are functional and legible.

The shop design focuses on showcasing furniture and is simple in navigation. The new website is rich in information about brand insights including a unique attitude to manufacture and sustainability.

Marlide Display in use together with Mori for the Milan Music Week 2023. The annual event was established in 2017 by the city of Milan, Assomusica, FIMI, Nuovo Imaie, and SIAE to dedicate an entire week to music and its market. The logo appears to be based on Gotham.

For seven days a year Milan is transformed into a large stage that welcomes hundreds of artists involved in the musical panorama of the area, and who stage events in different locations offering activities of all kinds: from concerts to workshops, through presentations of records and books, films, meetings with artists, DJ sets, and much more.

Milano Music Week is an educational project that is aimed at fans, music enthusiasts, and industry professionals and those who aspire to become professionals. Over the years Milan Music Week has become a priority event for the entire Italian music scene and is eagerly awaited by the citizens of the city and the country.

Through an integrated and holistic approach, Sunday Wellness addresses chronic health issues through lifestyle and diet choices. Focusing on the root cause, Sunday aims to establish routines and practices that promote long-term health, healing, and wellness.

The logotype was built from VC Henrietta Condensed, a chunky serif typeface that takes inspiration from the legendary Cooper Black. VC Henrietta is also used as the display typeface, supported by Mori.

The New Editorial is a digital service/product that combines “the best tools of journalism, strategy, product, design, and engineering... that helps organizations tell their own stories and build platforms where communities can thrive.” For building The New Editorial, Godfrey Dadich Partners and Ghost Note formed a strategic alliance with Upstatement.

Eiko is used for headers and Mori for body text. Both typefaces were designed by Caio Kondo (Mori together with Satsuki Arakaki and Mat Desjardins) and released with Pangram Pangram.

PUNCH is an illustrator and graphic designer in Japan. The portfolio website uses Apoc for the all-caps logo (with hover effect) and headlines. Yu Mincho serves for project titles and for Japanese text. All smaller English text, including the menu, is rendered in Mori.
