This novel by Tariq Mehmood was first published in England in 1983. This new edition features cover art by Daniel Heikalo, with the image from the original Penguin edition on the back cover. The new and updated edition was published in Canada by Daraja Press.

As the title suggests, Nicholas Mwangi’s book The Rastafari Movement: A Beginner’s Guide offers a brief but cogent guide to the origins and practices of Rastafarianism, taking it beyond the commonly understood traditions of reggae music and ganja.

Zurita by RodrigoTypo is the typeface chosen for the title of this book by Zophia Edwards, published by Daraja Press, in cooperation with Zand Graphics Ltd, Kenya. It’s set in four stacked and justified lines, and is paired with Chinese Rocks by Typodermic for the author’s name. The cover image is RAT RACE – unfinished business (2018) by Trinbagonian artist Karl Doyle. The series name, Thinking Freedom, uses Harman Sans (Ahmet Altun).

Cover design for a book with preliminary results of action research in the deep south of Haiti after Hurricane Matthew, edited by Rochambeau Lainy. For the typography, I paired two weights of Begum with Festivo LC. The book was published in March 2020 by Éditions science et bien commun and is also available as a web version under the Creative Commons Share Alike license.
