Fundición Tipográfica Neufville was established in Barcelona in 1885, after Eduard Kramer and Gustav Fuchs of Bauer bought the local Ramírez & Rialp foundry. Initially managed by Jacob de Neufville [Consuegra] and from 1898 on by Georg Hartmann. One of the main suppliers of metal typefaces and graphic arts machinery during the 20th century in Spain. Acquired Fundición Tipográfica Nacional (1971), Bauersche Giesserei (1972), Fonderie Typographique Française (1974), Ludwig & Mayer (1985), and Les Fonderies Réunies de Caractères du Liban (1988). Neufville was dissolved in 1995, and succeeded by Bauer Types. For typefaces by Neufville Digital, see Bauer Types.
