Casa Cavazzini, home to Udine’s new Museum of Modern Art (Museo d’Arte Moderna e Contemporanea) is a result of the combination of several properties between Via Savorgnana and Via Cavour.

The Astaldi Collection is undoubtedly one of the museum’s most emblematic body of works. Bequeathed to the city of Udine in the will and testimony of spouses, Sante Astaldi (Sannazzaro de 'Burgondi, 1895 - Rome, 1982) and Maria Luisa Astaldi (Tricesimo, 1899 - Rome, 1982). An engineer by profession, Sante Astaldi was one of the most prominent figures in the field of public works in the period following World War II, while Maria Luisa, an extremely cultured woman who, in addition to being a scholar and professor of English literature, also took a particular interest in art, as the number of works that make up the collection - over one hundred and ninety works in total – clearly testifies.

For the design of the exhibitions, Giovanni Zenarola and Francesco Tonon used Karlsbader Grotesk.

The T×2 project stands out for its focus on the new generations and the opening of a dialogue between them and different public and users of the cultural activities and theatrical halls of our city. TWO has developed the graphic image of a concept focused on paths connecting places, designed to express the idea of sharing experiences, the use of artistic visions and listening, the exchange of knowledge, through the aesthetics of digital identity, of the graphics of the maps. The daily presence of these elements typical of the digital world is effectively returning them to a more human and analogical form, with the result of making us live as suspended between real and virtual, freer in space-time references, almost divided in two.

CSS Teatro stabile di innovazione del FVG is the name of an experimental Italian cultural company that produces since 1982 a contemporary season called Teatro Contatto, made of well-known Italian and international artists.

The 9th Biennial Architecture Exhibition – Marcello D’Olivo Award, present in the local architecture scene since the end of the 80s, has always been accompanied by exhibitions and collateral initiatives in the regional capitals, in Slovenia and Austria. At the origin of the Marcello D’Olivo Award is the Associazione Architetti del Friuli Venezia Giulia Arte&Architettura, established in 1989 as an emanation of the Order of Architects of Udine to become a regional reality in 1995. Since then, the aim of the association was the growth of the Award – hosted at the Milan Triennale in 1997 as well as in Slovenia, Hungary, Austria – and its success in Italy and abroad. The jury of the 9th Edition will be composed of the architects Jacques Lucan (Paris), Odile Seyler (Paris) Moira Morsut (Udine), Miha Desman (Ljubljana), Marco Contini (Parma) and Sergio Pascolo (Venice). — Think Work Observe
