The conference’s identity typeface is FH Lecturis, which is paired with Inter and the visitor’s default sans serif on the summit website.

Andiamo is a neighbourhood bar and eatery in Herne Bay, a suburb of Auckland, New Zealand. They recently partnered with Studio 024 to reinvigorate a much-loved legacy brand, using AF Stelios by Abbr. Foundry as the main typeface, including for the wordmark. It is used together with Sharp Type’s Cordier Script.

The challenge was to modernise the identity while staying true to its history and local roots. The refresh introduces a new wordmark grounded in heritage and sophistication, alongside a refined palette of rich greens and buttery yellows. Together, these elements bring warmth, confidence, and renewed clarity to the brand. The result is a considered evolution, honouring Andiamo’s past while setting it up for its next chapter on Herne Bay’s main strip.

Te Papa Waka Rererangi o Whakatū – Nelson Airport

Gamay is the new brand typeface by Nelson Airport, New Zealand.

One of the first applications is Te Wiki o te Reo Māori, or Māori Language Week. 2025 marks the fiftieth anniversary of this initiative. Nelson Airport celebrates this milestone with a series of posts on social media platforms.

The campaign introduces visitors to topical words and phrases in Māori. The kupu o te rā (word of the day) is set in Gamay’s Expanded Light weight, while the English translation below uses the Regular Medium. The font family by Darden Studio offers a total of 108 styles across six widths and nine weights, and is also available in variable format.

Inside the airport building, travellers can engage in four wero (challenges) to spark kōrero (conversation) while waiting for their flight. We love this challenge to learn the language of New Zealand’s indigenous population, and are thrilled to see Gamay used for Māori.

Kia pai te haere – Safe journey

Trilogy was founded by two sisters from New Zealand who discovered the amazing skin loving benefits of rosehip oil, and took it to the world. Besides the signature rosehip oil, the brand now features a wide range of skincare products that all follow the same conscious approach, to minimize the impact on earth. Trilogy is Toitū carbon neutral certified, NATRUE and BioGro certified natural and organic. They do not test on animals and use PEFC certified cartons and recyclable or PCR materials wherever possible.

The logotype uses Grand Slang (Nikolas Type). In 2022, Trilogy commissioned Nikolas Type to create a custom version of Grand Slang’s lowercase g which is in use since then.

The branding is completed by Attila Sans (Kometa) Ogg Text (Sharp Type) and National 2 Compressed (Klim Type Foundry).

Albra Book from Ultra Kuhl and Radion by General Type Studio are used in The Slow Road – The Complete Guide to Van Life in New Zealand, written by Kirianna and Lachlan Poole. The book is a comprehensive guide for travelers exploring New Zealand by van, combining practical tips, itineraries, and first-hand stories.

From the designer, Megan van Staden:

I used a combination of modern seventies fonts to give the book a retro and nostalgic feel.

The multi-award-winning McJaggery is made with natural sugarcane jaggery for a clean, balanced rum. Also containing light notes of tropical fruit and green citrus, this rum is perfect for cocktails such as mojito and daiquiri or McJaggery and ginger beer favorites.

The logo was designed to look tinkered-with, with letters that trial how wide they should be as it steps boldly down the bottle, even if in stops and starts. The there’s the product story scribbled on the bottle like a collection of Rob’s notes.

The logotype is set in Canopée. It’s accompanied by Andalé Mono and what looks like handwriting.

Slight Twist is a small Neo-Zelander canned cocktail brand launched in 2024. As of summer 2025, they offer a range of 4 different cocktails.

The visual identity is united by colourful backgrounds with overtone patterns over them, changing for every product – and above all, it’s a very typographical identity. The brand typography, from logo to legal notices, is set in NaN Jaune Midi and Mini. The logo features a modified lowercaser w with crossing diagonals and a slant: a literal twist. In contrast to all other information, the cocktail names are presented at a 90° angle, allowing them to be shown relatively large in ratio to the small area of packaging visible on store shelves.

Key art for the 1.0 release of Abiotic Factor

Abiotic Factor is an open world survival single-player and cooperative video game developed by Deep Field Games and published by Playstack. It was released into early access on May 2, 2024 and was fully released on July 22, 2025. Players assume the role of a GATE employee, stranded deep within its underground research facility. After a catastrophic containment breach, players must use their brains and brawn to escape the facility by any means necessary all while avoiding military and paranormal forces.

Abiotic Factor uses Poppins as its branding typeface. It is seen used in most promotional material for the game. Poppins Black is used specifically for the game's logo. In game, the Black weight is also used as the headline font. It is paired with TeX Gyre Adventor for long bodies of text and can be seen used diegetically on wayfinding signs. Certainly very stylish if a bit hard to read on small text. Roboto is also used on the occasional piece of text, although this use feels more functional rather than stylistic. Interestingly, this is the pre-redesign version of Roboto that Unreal Engine 5 still ships with.

Logo. The A in the bottom line is replaced with GATE’s logo, the titular organization this game revolves around.

A player ‘inventing’ a new crafting recipe by dragging in the correct ingredient, which unlocks when a player collects a new object. One of the few instances where the old Roboto is used.

The typeface Figura Normal ExtraBold by Typeverything is used across the identity for Rascals Night Pants, a diaper product brand. The typeface appears prominently in the logotype, as well as on packaging design, website titles, and social media posts. The project was designed by ZURU. Tagline and information are set in Area by Blaze Type.

Alpine Bio is an agricultural company that specializes in biofactory innovation. They transform plants into natural production facilities using advanced biomanufacturing technology.

In their branding developed by Resn, Alpine Bio uses several illustration styles including press illustration techniques with duotone color schemes. This visual strategy pairs well with their use of OffBit in the Dot Bold style, creating a cohesive brand identity that reflects their innovative, technology-focused approach to agriculture.

OffBit is used together with LL DMT and a custom version of Neue Haas Unica with holes at joints.

The company has received recognition from scientific and business communities for their work in sustainable protein production.

Website design and development for BEINGS.

BEINGS is a platform built on lived experience. Created to explore, discover, and cast actors from Aotearoa’s People of Colour, Rainbow, and Disabled communities, it makes authentic casting not just easier, but so compelling it becomes the obvious choice. It’s aspirational, actually cool, and designed to leave no room for excuses.

Haltung from Order Type Foundry is used for the Contemporary Arts Special in Metro magazine, issue 446. The spreads are designed by in-house designer Sam Wieck.

We’re thrilled to share that one of our fonts, JT Olifer, has been selected by Delivereasy, a leading food delivery company in New Zealand, as part of their refreshed brand identity.

Delivereasy is a widely used delivery service across major cities in New Zealand, known for its friendly, fast, and modern approach. To strengthen their visual presence and brand personality, Colenso BBDO chose JT Olifer—a typeface that combines clean structure with a contemporary feel.

JT Olifer is featured across various Delivereasy brand touchpoints, from their logo to digital interfaces. With its balanced and approachable letterforms, JT Olifer perfectly aligns with Delivereasy’s values of simplicity, speed, and accessibility. It is supported by Founders Grotesk.

Jimmy Consulting is the consulting business of Hannah Pearson-Coats, located in Te Whanganui a Tara (Wellington), Aotearoa New Zealand. The website is designed by Hannah Pearson-Coats herself, and built by her partner Charles Munat. The typefaces Name Sans and Name Mono are used throughout the site, along with custom illustrations and lettering by Hannah.

With an emphasis on design integrity over budget, the magazine values longevity over fleeting trends, celebrating both luxury and humility.

The printed edition is at the heart of the brand, distributed nationwide through supermarkets, bookshops, and independent stores, as well as online via Instagram and the magazine’s website. Since its inception, Here has built a dedicated community of architects and homeowners who share its commitment to meaningful, enduring design.

Website and identity design for Tom Gould, a director from New Zealand, pairing all caps LL Riforma with Items Condensed.

Moksha is a New Zealand-brewed, India-inspired gin brand. Borrowing spices and flavors found in Masala Chai (cinnamon, cloves, cardamom), the gin brand pays tribute to its inspiration through a wordmark pairing the name in both Devenagari and Latin associated with illustrations of a lush jungle.

From a Brand Identity interview with Charlotte Sole, Design Director at Tomorrow:

The wordmark was set in the open-source Le Murmure by Jérémy Landes, using the typeface’s catching beauty. On the bottle, it’s seen flanked by the product name – in Farmacia – and a second wordmark, set in Pancho Devanagari by Indian Type Foundry, which quickly nods to the spirit’s ties to India. Depending on the context, the wordmarks can appear close to each other, and sometimes, are even entangled to create a striking lockup.

On top of the wordmark, Le Murmure is also used across the brand for all titles. These three typefaces are also accompanied by Commuters Sans in all caps for sub-headlines, UI, and introductory paragraphs, and Right Grotesk Wide for all body copy.

When Moksha is only sold in New Zealand (for now), one could ask themself what this Devanagari wordmark is here for besides the obvious answer being exoticism, contributing to the Indian feeling of the brand while only the inspirations behind it are actually linked to the subcontinent.
