A Better Day Tomorrow is a digital native brand of non-toxic everyday care products whose purpose is to create safe and affordable products to provide healthy hygiene and self-care routines.

For an unusually long name, the logotype was set vertically with Roba, due to its intrinsic toned down sophistication.

Based in São Paulo and created by chef Rodolfo de Santis, Giulietta is born from the chef’s desire to go beyond the barbecue approach already widespread in Brazil. The intention was to base on and reproduce Italian typical cuts (an unprecedented focus in São Paulo), without restricting to cattle cuts and proposing an authorial approach, which DNA was primarily nonconforming and mutant. Through this line of reasoning we understand that the identity and all its elements should be a reflection of this rupture with the standards proposed by the chef.

Harbour’s elegant aggressiveness was the reason it fit perfectly for the logotype. URW Typewriter and Sweet Sans were great side servings for the composition.

Nomo is a telecom startup that was born to put an end to the way things are done in the telecommunications segment. From that desire comes the name, NOMO – NO MORE. The brand’s proposal is not only to do things differently, but better. This implies the need to generate opposition and propose new paths.

In the telecom segment, the vices of visual language revolve around “neon lights” that mention speed (fiber optics), to three-dimensional effects in communication. The natural approach for Nomo is to propose something different from that. Every visual translation took place based on a simple proposition: in order to change, there must be the inevitable movement of opposition. Without destroying what already exists, but learning from what doesn’t work to do better.

The custom-designed logo for the project has the gesture of something jumping in a direction, like the letter N itself; or in the synthesis of a rubber ball in motion. Based on these observations, the letters N and M carry the brand’s personality and from these elements of extreme simplicity and strength, the entire visual expression of the brand unfolds. Whether with typographic treatments that follow the stimulus of non-compliance or hand-drawn illustrations, to the way this language is integrated into the application’s loading screen with animations.

The custom logotype was awarded a Certificate of Typographic Excellence and also was the Judge’s Choice in the TDC Awards. It also won Bronze Rayo in Brand Design and Logotype Design at the Latin American Design Awards (LAD).

Escola Aldeia is a school in Goiânia, center-west Brazil, teaching up to the Ensino Fundamental level (equivalent of U.S. Middle School). Its identity was created by the branding agency BR/BAUEN DESIGN in 2018.

In their case study BR/BAUEN says:

Escola Aldeia emerged as a manifestation of the need for change in the forms of teaching. In a context where we see 'school' as a hierarchy, a linear learning model and that annuls the individual exercise of creativity, the school project was born to present an alternative to this model of education, offering the new generation a path of community, creativity and teaching methodologies. The conception of the project was based on guiding the perception of parents who yearn for new learning choices, showing through their communication and their identity construction a school that has love for knowledge, for the other and for life.

The name aldeia, meaning village, comes from the proverb "It takes a village to raise a child."

The main logo is set in Discórdia Bold accompanied by a symbol. There is also a secondary logo using the word Aldeia arranged in an array of nodes and set in Fedra Mono. Its shape can change and can be overlaid on top of a short paragraph.

Throughout the identity you can see Discórdia in big titles, headlines, and even blown up to the point of being cropped out. In short paragraphs the identity usually uses all three of Discórdias text styles on the same line (Regular, Italic and Bold). For all subheads and running text, including on the website, Fedra Mono does the heavy lifting.

So as to tell my story, I built a series of posters containing parts of myself. As I wanted to make them fun, I picked up some funny stuff and moments. The story is being told in three parts.
