The exhibition Plumes, Poils, Paul at MUZOO, a museum in La Chaux-de-Fonds, showcases the work of Paul Barruel (1901–1982), a naturalist illustrator. Swiss graphic design studio Supero developed the branding, featuring NN Pivot Grotesk in various weights.

Supero has designed a visual identity and label for Sholi, a Swiss handcrafted alcoholic beverage made from water, pure alcohol, sugar and fruit purée (strawberry or passion fruit flavors). The visual system is based on fluorescent colors, a single typeface: Gustavo (from Lift Type) and the series of emoji included in the typeface.

Vivants / Le Voile dur Réel is a publication in two volumes, published at the occasion of an exhibition by photographer Matthieu Gafsou at the Musée d’art de Pully. The books, edited by Victoria Mühlig, were designed by Onlab:

The first one showcases the artist’s latest series, “Vivants,” which delves into his growing eco-anxiety. The second volume is a retrospective of his work so far, featuring eight thematic chapters that interweave his diverse series. A visual index of the photographs can be found at the end of the book.

The typography is set in Syncro Mono and Syncro, with the stylistic set soft on the spine.

Poster contribution for the Other Side, an interactive poster project by Swiss and Balkan artists curated Le Cabinet SR:CH –

a Swiss-Serbian association founded in 2012 by 5 graphic designers. Its aim is to promote intercultural exchanges between Switzerland and Balkans countries in the field of graphic design and visual arts.

This is the second edition of Other Side. Artists were invited to develop a two sides poster project. The aim is to encourage the artists to come to grips with a subject that confronts them either directly or indirectly, and to go beyond preconceived ideas. By inviting them to share an individual interpretation, the posters introduce us to different cultures with different personal concepts.

89 participants from Switzerland, Serbia, Croatia, and Bosnia took part in this project, which resulted in an exhibition in spring 2017 at QG, La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, and an accompanying catalogue.

The poster shows a quote by Igino Marini: “Ideas are born, grow & die generating new ideas” in English and Serbian with a very early version of Burns. The quote becomes bilingual with appropriate lightning on the page or poster, hence connecting both languages together. A rough sketch of Cyrillic letters was drawn for the occasion.

The poster and typeface were designed by Nolan Paparelli. The quote was translated by Aleksandra Andrić. The catalogue was designed by Théophile Glauser (Atelier U-Zehn) and Alex Bauer (Fabriquâ).

La troisième vérité is a book created for an audio exhibition in the streets of la Chaux-de-Fonds. The reading and folding system of the book is inspired by the way the spectator follows the exhibition. From author Camille Mermet:

Perhaps you will finally understand why the streets were deliberately built in a checkerboard pattern? Or how, despite its long winters, this city seems to manage to keep its heart warm, and its beat intact? Follow the guide through the city’s décor. It will seem as if he can lose you in the city you think you know. This singular visit, in which you could well be the hero, will make you apprehend reality as you have never done it before. A stroll where you will be surprised by all the disturbing coincidences you will encounter along the way. Everything you learn is based on real facts. And rest assured, you’ll never look at this city the same way again!
Camille Mermet, Dejan Gacond and Louis Jucker, cultivating their taste for vertigo, invite you to (re)discover this city by walking alone, well guided, with headphones on and to explore in a different way the link you have with La Chaux-de-Fonds.

Strong and recognizable visual identity for the Museum of Fine Arts in La Chaux-de-Fonds (Switzerland) designed by the Swiss studio onlab.

Therefore onlab decided against the classical communication of art shows. Instead of plainly pasting one of the exhibited art works onto the poster, the museum’s posters should fulfil the original purpose of posters in the urban context: to catch the attention of the passersby, and to distinguish themselves from other posters, billboards and loud visual elements of the city. A strong visual system plays with typography as a shape for the artwork and creates powerful graphics that clearly stick out in the urban setting. — onlab

Invitation book, save-the-date flyer and poster designed by the Lausanne-based duo A3 Studio for the 2015 edition of the Rendez-vous des créateurs event. The grid used on the project was inspired by La Chaux-de-Fonds’ gridded city architecture.

For the series of exhibition posters for the Museum of Fine Arts of La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, onlab puts the versaitility of Euclid BP to the test. The ultra-geometric grotesque was designed by Emmanuel Rey and released in 2011 in a single weight. According to Swiss Typefaces, four additional weights and italics will complete the family soon.
