Its popularity in the late 70s and 80s is due to a faithful Letraset revival. The typeface on the windows, <a href="https://fontsinuse.com/typefaces/31758/poster-mecanorma"><strong>Mecanorma Poster</strong></a>, is really from the late 60s (and was popular in the 70s).
