Ktima Gouma (Goumas Estate) is a traditional winery in Trilagada, a semi-mountainous location near Maries Village in Zakynthos, Greece. The family-run winery produces select wines from time-honored native varieties. The people at Ktima Gouma trusted me to design their business's new visual identity to match their products’ refined, connoisseur-grade quality.

For the rebranding, I drew inspiration from the location’s geomorphology, the restored centuries-old premises’ look and feel, and the winemaker’s other passion, religious iconography. The new logotype consists of three symbols arranged vertically. At the top are the three dales (lagadia), after which the winery’s location takes its name (Tri-lagada). The middle symbol represents the Goumas vineyards. Right below, are the estate’s arched gates. The symbols’ vertical arrangement references the Byzantine script used in Orthodox iconography, a nod to the owner’s artistic work. Underneath, the winery’s brand name is set in an elegant typeface (Musetta Regular by Atipo) with long and narrow elements that aesthetically match that vertical set-up. Finally, the brand colors were inspired by construction elements found across the estate: stone, wood, soil, and the conspicuous pink stucco adorning the winery's walls, which is made with crimson iconography paint.

Folkz is a contemporary shop offering traditional products in the city of Zakynthos. Its name combines the word “folks” as a reference to the people behind the products, with the initial letter of the placename “Zakynthos” replacing the final s. In the typographic logo, the name is divided into two lines to create a dynamic composition that highlights the final Ζ. The logo features the high-contrast, quirky display typeface Eklektyk by Laïc that resembles the physical space’s design. It’s supported by Geomanist from Atipo. The color palette, inspired by the interior decoration, creates interesting contrasts, enhancing the visual identity’s contemporary approach.

Opened in 1982, Yria Hotel is a charming family-owned hotel located in the main town of Zakynthos island, Greece. The identity we designed takes inspiration from the hotel’s history, location, and the Art Deco qualities of the original logo. It features a delicate symbol made up of the initials Y and H and the arch—an ever-present element in Zakynthian architecture and also part of the hotel’s building design. The wordmark, which contains the name and the founding year, was designed using the contemporary-looking yet elegant Orchidea by Mint Type foundry, a typeface balancing on the verge of sans and serif, thus functioning as a conceptual bridge between the past and future of the business. It’s supported by Open Sans.
