How a culture views the body is historically and politically specific. Albrecht Dürer’s Instructions on Measurement, published in 1528, marks a transition of how the Western body is represented—shifting from a feudal metaphysical understanding to a rationalized capitalist subject. Using my own body to illustrate, On Measurement considers the historical specificity of Dürer’s work, and situates its representation within a lineage of technologies from 1528–today that aim to capture, measure, and analyze the body.

For this project, Another Kind Studio wanted to craft an identity that felt fitting for a site with such a massive legacy. Situated on the grounds of what was once the largest brewery in the world, we designed a new pub brand for Ninety One to honour that heritage while carving out its own modern space on Brick Lane in East London.

From the deep greens and warm oranges to the period inspired typography, we designed the brand to live and breathe in physical spaces and feel totally at home in its surroundings. Homolobby by Krzysztof Tomasik is a vivid narrative that weaves together the lives of a group of men born in the late 19th century, revealing what life was like for homosexual actors in the Second Polish Republic and during the war. The book reveals the backstage of theater, cinema, and cabaret, where themes of non-normative sexuality were subtly conveyed.

The book was designed by Polish book designer Marcin Hernas of studio Tessera. The playful layout combines Ergon for titles and pagination, while the main text is set Dashiell Text.

Andiamo is a neighbourhood bar and eatery in Herne Bay, a suburb of Auckland, New Zealand. They recently partnered with Studio 024 to reinvigorate a much-loved legacy brand, using AF Stelios by Abbr. Foundry as the main typeface, including for the wordmark. It is used together with Sharp Type’s Cordier Script.

The challenge was to modernise the identity while staying true to its history and local roots. The refresh introduces a new wordmark grounded in heritage and sophistication, alongside a refined palette of rich greens and buttery yellows. Together, these elements bring warmth, confidence, and renewed clarity to the brand. The result is a considered evolution, honouring Andiamo’s past while setting it up for its next chapter on Herne Bay’s main strip.

WS Craft’s upright and italic styles are mixed by graphic designer Bernardo Berga in Jazz Kissa, a book about the culture of jazz listening bars in Japan, published by creative agency and publishing house ERG Media:

Immerse yourself in the soul of Japanese listening culture with Jazz Kissa, an expansive photographic exploration of Japan’s iconic jazz cafés, known as Jazz Kissa. The book is the result of over fifteen years of dedicated work by photographer and cultural historian Katsumasa Kusunose, who has meticulously documented these intimate spaces and the people who keep their spirit alive.

Printed on specially sourced Japanese paper inspired by the texture of Altec A7 speakers and wrapped in a traditional OBI strip, Jazz Kissa is both a cultural document and a beautiful object in its own right.

The typefaces used on the obi strip are Eiko and Source Han Sans for the Japanese title, “ジャズ喫茶”.

A new sign for Le Bouchon Alsacien, the restaurant run by Jacky and Fred, new owners of the former Cazenove in Lyon’s 6th district.

The exterior now features a glass gilding panel combining engraving and gold leaf gilding (manufactured by Giusto Manetti Battiloro). The deep blue background highlights a swirl of shimmering letters, creating a classic and luminous result that pays tribute to Lyon’s and Alsace’s heritage.

Inside, a lime fresco bears the owners’ tribute phrase, “the cellar of my father, the dishes of my mother” alongside other hand-painted elements that extend the artisanal touch throughout the space.

The typefaces in use are Albuquerque by Ornamental & Title Type, LHF Thick and Thin Sans by Thomas Kennedy of Letterhead Fonts, Gandur New by Blackletra, and Drafter by Double Dagger.

Many talk boldly. But only a scarce bunch dare to walk the talk. Inventure is one of those rare firms that turn words into action. They back the few – and when they do, they go all in. Because true imagination doesn’t just build companies. It makes life better for all of us.

Ignition and acceleration became the cornerstones of the logotype. The first part sparks. The second races forward, tilting upward with momentum. But an identity is more than a logo. Headlines were designed as vessels of acceleration, pushing into a brighter future. Colours and gradients nod to the flame – the spark that sets everything in motion. The result: an identity that dares to win.

The typefaces used for the identity are Varp by Maksym Kobuzan, Marcin Antique by Feliciano Type and STK Bureau Serif by Smuss Type Kiosk.

Tisse is a Marseille-based kombucha brand. Their workshop is both a place of production and a laboratory of experimentation, where they imagine drinks with singular flavors and original aromatic profiles that reflect the region that inspires them. With ingredients sourced as locally and organically as possible, Tisse offers kombucha that is naturally low in sugar, unpasteurized, and delivered sustainably across Marseille.

For the redesign of their brand, Tisse collaborated with Image Format to express both the craft and the contemporary energy that defines Tisse. The visual identity balances grounded qualities with a bold, modern edge, capturing the dual character of kombucha: rooted in tradition yet alive and fresh.

To achieve this, they turned to two typefaces by Marc Rouault available at Sharp Type. Trois Mille, with its high contrast and striking presence, gives the brand a contemporary voice. Tarnac Sans, a slab serif with a historic feel, anchors that energy with authenticity and craft.

Işıl Gün is a Turkish stylist and set designer based in Milan. Each of her projects reflects a sophisticated, eclectic, and irreverent eye, shaped by a unique style that blends retro influences, surrealist elements, bold textures, and strong contrasts—always with an elegant and unmistakable touch.

She partnered with DilloStudio who designed the new identity directly from this coexistence of opposites: a vibrant and varied palette creates unexpected and lively combinations; geometric patterns echo the aesthetics of the 1970s, while surreal compositions mix illustrations, classical busts, animals, and natural stones in a dreamlike, personal language.

The logo features Blackest by Zetafonts, a typeface that merge radical design references with nods to Turkish visual culture. GT Alpina Condensed by Grilli Type and Fragment Mono by Wei Huang are used respectively for headlines and paragraphs.

Louis Ferraz is a product designer based in São Paulo with a background spanning Barcelona (EINA, Santa & Cole) and Switzerland (ECAL), where he collaborated with leading companies and designers in the field. He has worked with brands such as Decathlon and NM3, developing projects in mobility and furniture design, and has been mentored by Erwan Bouroullec and Sam Hecht.

His website and visual identity were designed by Austrian type and graphic designer Maximilian Inzinger using Baustraße (by Fantasia Type) and International Edition 70 (by Elias Hanzer).

Tozi Superfoods is a family-founded, Mexican-American food and beverage company inspired by heritage and the spirit of Toci, the Aztec goddess of health.

Tozi brings ancient wisdom into the modern world. At its core, the identity embraces bold, symmetrical shapes and vibrant colors, echoing the geometric details of Aztec stone carvings and architecture. The logomark, embodying Tozi, is a dynamic element that adapts to highlight key aspects of the brand story—whether through sacred ingredients or symbolic icons. Just as health is multifaceted, so too is Tozi's visual language, weaving together ancient influences with a modern sensibility to create a timeless and contemporary system.

First issue of Uhren & Schmuck, a supplement magazine about watches and jewelry included in the Handelszeitung published by Ringier Axel Springer (Zürich, CH). Designed by ROLE Studio in close collaboration with Studio September, this issue features photographs by Douglas Mandry, as well as the TWK Burns and TWK Ghost typefaces, both designed by Nolan Paparelli and published on WELTKERN®.

Principes fondamentaux de l’histoire de l’art (“Fundamental principles of art history”) was written by Heinrich Wölfflin and first published in 1915 in German as Kunstgeschichtliche Grundbegriffe. This French edition was translated by Sacha Zilberfarb and published by l’écarquillé. Atelier Tout va bien provided the design.

The body text is typeset in Immortel Acedia by Clément Le Tulle-Neyret, distributed by 205TF, with secondary texts in Ambit by Mark Bloom, distributed by CoType.

The visual identity for the new Maurice Sfez café in Paris, part of Moise Sfez's Homer Food Group, was designed by Atelier Choque Le Goff in 2024.

BEC1972 began with a vision: a future where everyone lives better. This idea unites artisans, designers, and industrialists to create a distinctive brand—a small-scale furniture publisher that crafts pieces on demand, with no stock, using minimal materials to minimize environmental impact.

The publisher grew out of BEC Industries, drawing on decades of experience in architecture and design. BEC's rich history includes producing television sets in the 1980s and contributing to iconic events like the Barcelona Olympic Games and the Seville Expo. Today, they leverage their past to build a sustainable future for housing.

For their first collection, they collaborated with one of the foremost names in design: Carles Riart. Most of Carles’ work has been driven by private commissions, but his goal is to create a better future for everyone. He aims to share his knowledge by designing furniture that looks to the future and promotes well-being. His philosophy is evident in every piece.

Casa Bien was entrusted with developing the brand strategy, visual and verbal identity, art direction for photography, audiovisual production, and building their e-commerce platform. This comprehensive project reflects Casa Bien’s deep alignment and strong connection with the brand.

Design/interior/creative studio Delajoie asked Odds Studio for a new visual identity, stationery, and merch. Odds Studio “had a blast exploring different logos and monograms for this project. It beautifully blends tradition with a playful touch.”

Talgh redefines luxury and unisex self-care through a seamless blend of nature and innovation. Inspired by the historical use of beef tallow and modern skincare science, the brand honors the past while embracing the future.

Beginning with a commitment to hormone-safety that transcends mere product use. This philosophy guided the creation of products that are not only effective but also gentle and safe for all skin types.

Their formulas are meticulously formulated using certified organic and mineral-based materials, providing effective protection without compromising quality. The digital presence mirrors its ethos—intuitive, cohesive, and immersive. The site features a modular yet soft user-centric design language with minimal yet nuanced animations, interactions, and imagery.

Typography and design play pivotal roles in conveying the brand’s elegance. By blending mid-century influences with contemporary aesthetics, every detail of Talgh speaks to sophistication and care. The brand typography utilizes EK Roumald by Erkin Karamemet and ABC Favorit by Dinamo.

Talgh is more than a brand; it’s a testament to the harmony of tradition and modernity. The essence of nature, the elegance of luxury.
