In the continuity and as every year, the architectural office ARK. starts the year by offering to its clients, presentees, partners and friends a worked attention. In addition to a message, each project must contain an additional object that could be kept and use all year. The 2022 card was designed around the pencil it was to carry. As every year, the choice of materials is crucial. It must reflect the ephemeral function of a greeting card. Ideally it can be recycled, recyclable or/and reusable. Brand identity and website by studio Atollon for Harris + Wood, a Warrnambool's independent real estate agency:

Harris + Wood needed a rebrand that truly reflected who they are. Like many regional towns, the Warrnambool property market is booming and the time was right to reposition their agency for this next chapter. Smart, simple, and confident. It’s all about cutting through the franchise noise in the region. This new identity is considered and refined to strategically communicate the strengths of their business.

Nizar Kazan + Co is a multidisciplinary creative studio specialized in art direction, editorial design, type design and design services for brands, artists or institutions. Over the past years the studio have collaborated with small family companies and big corporations, both locally and internationally. Besides working on commissioned projects, the studio dedicate most of its time and its resources to initiate diverses creative projects and refine its signature practice.

The new website was designed in-house and is set in TWK Lausanne. Development by the Swiss web agency Pulse.digital.

Dan Carter: 1598 is a career celebration of the iconic All Black who is rugby’s highest-scoring player of all time.

This book exists in two editions: A regular one and a signed limited edition available to pre-order from Dan Carter’s website. It comes cloth-bound in a special slipcase, with Adidas boot lace detailing and Swiss layflat binding.

Studio South designed this book closely alongside Dan Carter and using TWK Lausanne (by Nizar Kazan) for the whole design.

A strong new visual identity designed by Studio Feixen for the 2021 edition of Liste Art Fair, an art exhibition held in Basel at the same time and next to Art Basel 2021. Lausanne (designed by Nizar Kazan) is used in many scales on the posters, signs, and publications.

Designed by Nam Huynh in collaboration with Studio Tillack Knöll, this animated flyer incapsulates Macho Sounds/Gender Noise, a walk-in art and sound installation by Daphne Dragona and Sofia Dona questioning the sounds and noises of cars, gender and its presumed understanding within society. First presented at Die Irritierte Stadt festival in July, the installation is shown until 31 October 2020 at Gedok-Galerie, Stuttgart.

Cover design (and poster design) for the first issue in 2020 of the Japanese design magazine ブレーン / Brain. We took advantage of this space to transgress a little bit from the norm of what constitutes a cover illustration and thus made an arbitrary, non-exhaustive selection of beautiful books. This work also echoes our habit of making lists/classifications for everything, like movies, artists, restaurants, etc.

The typefaces use for the contribution are Lausanne 600 and Mono, both designed by Nizar Kazan. The Japanese fonts used for the magazine header are unidentified [edit: They have been identified by Akira, see comments].

Posters for Pentobarbital et les nouveaux Folklores (“Pentobarbital and the new Folklores”) a vernissage held by Swiss artist Jean Gfeller in Personnes, a bar in Nantes.

As it is difficult to work with reproductions of art without affecting it or the design, we have designed a three poster triptych with rules for displaying them: A first poster, composed using Lausanne 600 (designed by Nizar Kazan); the second is a hybrid of this typographic poster and the artwork. This crossing results in a new image that becomes a form of icon for the event; the last poster is simply a showcase for Gfeller’s art.

The 100×40 exhibition aims to present the profiles of 40 artists who had a significant impact on the development of Polish culture of the last century. A group of students and doctoral students from the Academy of Fine Arts wants to show that in addition to the unquestioned fathers of independence, which were politicians, activists, and soldiers, artists also made a significant contribution to building the Polish identity. By using the medium of posters, young graphic designers try to build an intergenerational dialogue with recognized artists belonging to the pantheon of Polish art. New York based-industrial designer McKay Nilson launched a new website, using and mixing Ogg by Sharp Type and Lausanne 300 by Nizar Kazan.

Mckay Nilson is an industrial designer intent on blurring the boundaries and filling the space between objects and human beings.

The typography references to blurring boundaries applying a blur effect to text links upon hovering.

Corporate design for Bäuerle Landschaftsarchitektur + Stadtplanung, a landscaping and urban planning studio in Stuttgart, Germany. The font in use is Lausanne 300 by Nizar Kazan.

Sam Bardaouil and Till Fellrath are Founders of Art Reoriented, a multidisciplinary curatorial platform, launched in New York and Munich in 2009. Since 2016, they are Chairmen of the Montblanc Cultural Foundation in Hamburg, and since 2017 Affiliate Curators at the Gropius Bau in Berlin. SPGD was approached by United Products, makers of designful products for wet areas, to refresh their brand identity and collateral:

This required typeface exploration, animation, printed and digital documents that would unify the vision and aesthetic that United Products needed to portray.

The concept was to find the balance between sleek and playful. The documentation needed to be practical in its legibility whilst adding a little bit of personality and traits the various designers express through their work.

We started by creating a wave animation that was fitting to bathroom products. This was made to move like water but textured like liquified porcelain.
