The Next Cartel is a multimedia organization, providing digital media, digital fashion, and agency services worldwide. Their logo and website are both set in Bastardo Grotesk, giving a sense of continuity and cohesion. The website follows the logo's different colour versions, which are interchangeable and often even used at the same time. Sequel 100 Wide is used for the hero headlines on the website.

Prakti uses Grand Slang by Nikolas Type for the logo, paired with Jonny Pinhorn’s geometric sans Poppins for all other usages across all media.

An artful feeling surrounds the fire of Cowgirl.

Precisely because the name is instantly drawing an image of what the cliché might evoke, the full aesthetics, choice of font, and how it is put in context is balancing out an exciting, yet classy counterpart, leading into being much more than just the sum of its parts.

Through cowgirl, Utah-based creative Matthew Raymond is transcending his journey of deep interest for timeless clothing and objects.

For its iconic branding and various garnments including bags, t-shirt, hoodies, sweatshirts, mugs and caps, cowgirl is using the all lowercases of Grand Slang by Nikolas Type.

Grocery delivery service Buyk describe their service as follows: “We have a wide variety of products and our couriers will deliver in the shortest time possible. It takes about 15 minutes for the delivery. Prices are set to be competitive with local stores and delivery is free.”

Their visual identity (designer yet unknown), pairs a vibrant pink/green color combo with equally loud typography set in a two weights of Right Grotesk. On the website, information is set in Plain.

We built a brand which was adaptable to each and every genre of music by dynamically taking visual cues from the festivals themselves, and using the festival's own imagery. A bold typeface reflects the youthful excitement and cool spirit of many of the events. An adaptable colour pallet allows for many different moods. We also collaborated on the UX and UI of the entire Festicket experience.

A forward-thinking club opened by WeWork in downtown Manhattan, Rise has a social vibe and a holistic approach. With a Roman-inspired Superspa, yoga room, sprawling gym and cafe, it’s a luxurious space where over-scheduled members can leave their devices behind and connect on a more personal level.

Mucca developed the strategy with the WeWork team, positioning it as a complete wellness experience. The dynamic brand system extends the energy of the logo to the signage, storytelling, packaging and digital design. With an exploding membership base and plans to expand to the West Coast, Rise is equipped to redefine the future of fitness.

The Conference Company (TCC) specialises in the design, organisation and execution of large-scale conferences throughout New Zealand and Australia. They also apply this expertise to award ceremonies under the name The Awards Company. It is a strategically interesting delineation yet a straightforward naming practice.

Expressing what either company does was clearly not an issue, however, in a fast moving industry, where innovation is essential, the graphic identities of The Conference Company and The Awards Company had grown tired. With this in mind, TCC founder Jan Tonkin commissioned Studio South to help clarify company values, understand future ambitions and explore how to position them as innovative thinkers and leaders in their field.

The resulting is a new identity with a logotype built from Atlas Typewriter and supported by Atlas Grotesk, as well as a pattern, a colour palette and a governing system that both defines and unites both companies under a distinct new visual language. This links stationery, print communications, posters, name badges and signage.

BTL Brands, the independent branding agency for startups, has repositioned Porto-based luxury cashmere company, Milk Cashmere, with a new brand identity as it eyes up the mother and baby market.

BTL Brands built the brand strategy, and created the brand name, logo and personality for the new luxury cashmere brand. The name Milk, previously ‘Melanie Cashmere’, was created to reflect the way rolls of soft cashmere fabric take on a ‘milky’ appearance and nod to the translation of the founder’s surname, ‘Milk Coast’. The brand message, ‘a small touch of kindness’, shines a light on the story of cashmere wool from the farm in Mongolia to the factory in Milan to the fashion store on Madison Ave. The new brand has been applied to website, packaging, social and marketing.

The new brand will launch in spring 2018.
