Holise in use for the website of Sandhi Wines.

Sandhi is a small-production winery sourcing Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from select vineyards in the Sta. Rita Hills AVA. After searching up and down the California coast, we settled on a narrow slice along Santa Rosa Road for the verve, balance and effortless Pacific breezes of these sites. It has been our belief that only together can we fully express them.

Holise is used in all caps and is paired with Louize and Söhne Mono. The Sandhi logo is based on Baker Script, made slightly less inclined.

This calendar was created by Palindrome Creative Co., who mention that 15% of the proceeds are donated to the Richmond Reproductive Freedom Project to support reproductive freedom

Month names are set in Eros, with numbers in an unidentified serif. The colored paper is by Colorplan.

Pippāl is a gathering place that celebrates the richness and diversity of Indian culture and cuisine, and melds traditional flavors with a modern touch. Influenced by the contrast and depth of cultures across India, the brand identity is built on connection and balance, reflected in both the wordmark – based on New Forest – and icon.

The typeface Sometimes Times offers an inviting timelessness and charm. Interstate relates to the slightly condensed, high counter height of Sometimes' letterforms, yet contrasts as a hard-working sans-serif. Campaign adds a layer of interest to augment the other two typefaces, with a charismatic expanded Grotesque font that rounds out the typographic system.

The book is published by the Ще одну сторінку (One more page) publishing house and is available for order from their parent company Ranok publishing house.

Се твоя доля (“This is your destiny”) is a book by Halyna Pahutyak, a representative of Ukrainian gothic and magical realism and laureate of the Shevchenko Prize. “I just like everything unusual and wonderful. This is also a reality. I want everyone to know that in this gloomy everyday life there are many doors that open to other worlds. I find and show some of them”, Halyna says.​​​​​​

When a good story meets a right typography, a little miracle happens. The designer and illustrator of the book, Anna Gavryliuk, felt this vibe of magical stories and perfectly synthesized it with an illustration and typography.

The Morta typeface used on the cover and titles is all about strange and unknown, and is therefore a good visual key to opening the doors to the magical worlds of Halyna Pahutyak. “While working on concept sketches, I synthesized such theses as historical and cartoon, mystical and attractive. The slant of the italics is flipped the other way to give the feeling of looking from the other side, from behind a mirror,” Michael Rafailyk, says about his Morta concept.

Fiorina Text was used for the body text. It’s a typeface by Andriy Konstantynov, who is also a Ukrainian developer.

The Solly Hotel Paris is a boutique hotel in the 2nd arrondissement. It pays tribute to the great traveler and architect Salomon de Caus, who infused the entire house with a curious, creative, and open-minded spirit. At the Solly Hotel Paris, people gather, have a drink, work, relax, cultivate themselves, and meet the Paris of Parisians. It's a living space, a space to experience.

The branding for the Solly Hotel Paris captures the essence of Paris with the elegance of Boogy Brut Poster by Bureau Brut, mixed with a bold splash of vibrant yellow, reflecting a place of warmth, creativity, and Parisian lifestyle. From tagline to ephemera, the wordmark is paired with a combination of Retro Signature and Business Signature, two similar typefaces from Nirmana Visual.

The Madrona is a new hotel built around and old mansion, the hotel’s ornate centerpiece. This 1881 mansion was built in Aesthetic Movement style. The interiors done by co-owner and designer Jay Jeffers, are eclectic, incorporating period elements as well as modern interventions, a very fine art collection, and a boatload of antiques collected during several lifetimes’ worth of travels.

The full hotel branding was imagined by Saint-Lazare agency, from the logo and the restaurant menu to the signage and keyrings. The logo lettering is carefully crafted by Margot Lévêque. The Madrona’s identity combines the delicate curves of Selva Script, with the rigorous geometry of Founders Grotesk.

Verydeeprecords kick off the new year with their 60th release: 90 minutes of unreleased music by friends and fellows, celebrating the labels tenth anniversary. The compilation once more shows VDR’s unique view on contemporary electronic music and the pop related adventures they linked to get involved in. Between club and living room, crispy bass music, future songwriter stuff and dark house/techno, XDR sheds light on new collaborations and old friendships alike.

The design by Philipp Dittmar combines the cool and contemporary atmosphere of Laura Mattes’ 3D renders with a fragile and ornamental typography. The cassette tapes comes with ten different cover versions. Listen to the music on Basecamp.

Designed by Multiverse Studio, Hera nei Campi revives rice cultivation in Southern Italy with innovative technology and a new rice variety, Magnum. The project features uniquely designed packaging and labels that reflect the local Piana del Sele region, enhancing user interaction and storytelling through detailed illustrations and typography that narrate the legend of Hera and the origins of rice.

The typeface in use is Romie by Margot Lévêque.

Designed by Shhh, Analogue Foundation’s new website has won two industry awards at Awwwards, “Site of the Day” and “Developer Award”. This website is set in the elegant Romie Regular with its unique set of ligatures, designed by Margot Lévêque. Romie is seamlessly blended in some titles with the script Nautica, designed by Resistenza. The sans-serif typeface employed is Acumin, a creation of Robert Slimbach, available on Adobe Fonts.

Offshore is the collaborative (design) practice of Isabel Seiffert and Christoph Miler. They designed this newsprint publication using Gaya in 2022 after their artistic residency at La Becque, in Switzerland. Here is how their project is presented on La Becque's website:

The project The Myth of Memory is Offshore’s second chapter in their long-term project about the comeback of wolves. After the duo has investigated the techno-scientific apparatus implemented to surveil and control the predator in their work Managing the Wild, they addressed the role of landscape, myth, and memory in the second part of the project. They tackled the question how wolves become figures that embody cultural narratives and sentiments. The duo investigated how wolf mythologies and memories are produced, read, negotiated, and recycled, used, and abused in order to make sense of the return of wolves in today’s contested landscapes. By proposing this new perspective, The Myth of Memory reflects upon the complex relationship between humans and other animals through storytelling and poses the urgent question how we want to memorize and remember the past, in order to shape our multi-species future.

The final version of their project The Myth of Memory. Gods, Ghosts and Beasts: Roaming Today’s Wolf Territories was then presented at My Monkey Gallery in Nancy in July 2022.

The slab-serif caps used for the title appear to be custom drawn.

Sonagi is a skincare sheet mask subscription service that “brings the magic of Korean sheet masks to the UK”.

Seoul and London based K-Beauty brand Sonagi uses Instrument Serif paired with Acumin on their website and for social media posts.

Mes Rêves M’épuisent (“My Dreams Are Exhausting Me”) is the latest EP release by Cashmire.

The album art was designed by Arthur Connault, using DaVinci by Virgile Flores and photography by Cyril Gaborit.

Suat Derviş’s novel Kendine Tapan Kadın (“The Woman Who Adores Herself”) was written in the 1950s and is now being made into a film. This brochure with character illustrations combined on a double-sided poster reflects the spirit of the time to pitch the upcoming project of Turkish film producer Sevil Demirci. The brochure, which heralds the production, is a double-sided 33×48 cm (13×18.9 inch) area surrounded by illustrations drawn with traditional methods.

Les Trésors de Gilberte is a familial recipes book based on Gilberte H. Acampora’s kitchen notebooks. Book design by Léa de Pannemacker, setting in Kalice (by Margot Lévêque), Maison Neue (by Milieu Grotesque), and Snell Roundhand (by Matthew Carter).

Dedicated to her family, her children and grandchildren and strongly inspired by the grandparents' retro-romantico-mediterranean aesthetic house, this object is a small part of memories with which new memories will be created through time and generations.

Volume one was made in 2021, volume two followed a year later.

Vogue Singapore, Issue 17 from October 2022 was designed by Michael Harrison (art director) and Jason Thien (designer). It showcases the script typeface Amnezia on the cover, spine, and inside the magazine.

Rebranding of Italian fashion company Philo. In Italian, filo means “thread”, the logo thus presents the sinuosity of a thread and the letter O at the ending represents the eye of the needle.

Philo, expresses its strength and sensitivity in proposing a personal and creative reading of current trends, reflecting the different personalities of the contemporary woman, with a multiple and multifaceted identity.

Particular attention is paid to the choice of natural materials, colors, and exclusive prints of the best Italian production chain.

The new logo has been announced in November 2021. It’s based on Hook (Jo Malinis, 2020). The accompanying brand typefaces are the seriffed Nautila (Anne-Dauphine Borione, 2021) and the sans-serif Neue Montreal (Mathieu Desjardins, 2018).

Opuscolo is a gathering of texts on all matters, with a new typographic voice and ready to print for a reading session away from the screen. The ready-to-print pdfs are in A4 format, to be folded into A5. You can find a ready-to-print pdf and a screen-reading pdf, together with all the references of the publication in its are.na page.

The second issue is the essay Of Books by the French Renaissance philosopher Michel de Montaigne.

Injurial by Sandrine Nugue is used for the title and quotes in the text. Faune by Alice Savoie is used for the quotes authors and its translations, while the main text is set in ATF Garamond by Mark van Bronkhorst, Igino Marini and Ben Kiel, with Dapifer by Joshua Darden for italics. For the drop caps, Ellmer Stefan digitized an alphabet made out of tools. It can be found in the book Champ fleury by Geoffroy Tory, named Lettres Fantastiques. And the text ending symbol was produced with the Combination Book Border (Series 87) originally designed by Richard Smith of MacKellar, Smiths & Jordan and made digitally available by Ellmer Stefan and Johannes Lang through their project non-alphabets.

Flowers is a personal publication exploring the act of photographing flowers as a measurement of time. The book is sectioned into regions of Europe. Colourful flowers flood the pages, broken up by an essay that runs throughout the book, delving deeper into the themes. It's a self-initiated project, made just as a marker of leaving Europe for Australia, where the seasons are topsy turvy and the flowers entirely new.

Voyage by VJ-Type is used throughout. The title uses Voyage’s discretionary we ligature, plus a custom-made one for rs.

Naranjo-Etxberria designed the title and credits for Vogue Spain’s Halloween fashion film. Directed by Javier Cortés, A XXI Century Witch makes a modern interpretation of magic showing how a witch could be in our time.

Spain Creative Agency wrote about why choosing Millionaire Italic:

Making an analogy with this reinterpretation of the past, we have chosen the Millionaire Italic typeface. Designed by Altiplano, it is inspired by the George Bickham The Elder’s sophisticated handwriting and engravings from XVII and XVIII century but with a modern and contemporary vision.
