TEMPLO collaborated with GF Smith to redesign their visual identity, eight years after their last rebrand. This new identity reflects the company's evolution, its international expansion, and its commitment to community, creativity, and sustainability. TEMPLO's collaborative process resulted in a brand image that connects with the next generation of creatives, while highlighting the GF Smith Charitable Trust, dedicated to supporting young talents in Hull.

The identity stands out with an omnidirectional logo and a vibrant color palette inspired by GF Smith's paper collection. The Homie typeface by Blaze Type, a humanist and geometric sans serif, adds a touch of originality and readability. It is used together with ABC Social by Dinamo This typographic choice reinforces the versatile and bold nature of the rebrand, breaking conventions in the paper industry.

TEMPLO, founded by Pali Palavathanan and Anoushka Rodda, is an agency committed to socially impactful design. By working with GF Smith, they captured the essence of the company while emphasizing its values of community and sustainability. This rebrand reflects their shared mission: to stand out while championing important causes.

Tozi Superfoods is a family-founded, Mexican-American food and beverage company inspired by heritage and the spirit of Toci, the Aztec goddess of health.

Tozi brings ancient wisdom into the modern world. At its core, the identity embraces bold, symmetrical shapes and vibrant colors, echoing the geometric details of Aztec stone carvings and architecture. The logomark, embodying Tozi, is a dynamic element that adapts to highlight key aspects of the brand story—whether through sacred ingredients or symbolic icons. Just as health is multifaceted, so too is Tozi's visual language, weaving together ancient influences with a modern sensibility to create a timeless and contemporary system.

Saintly is on a mission to lead the world to a cleaner future from behind. They are reimagining the personal care and toilet hygiene space starting with a cleansing foam dispenser that serves as a flushable wipe upgrade. With the cheeky belief that “cleanliness is next to godliness” and a promise to deliver “that new butt feeling, every time,” Saintly redefines the category with a Renaissance-inspired aesthetic that turns the everyday bathroom routine into a ritual of confidence.

From strategy and naming to visual identity, packaging, and web design, the team at Universal Favourite reimagined every detail of the brand, ensuring Saintly’s launch was nothing short of heavenly. Working alongside Doris Dev, we helped bring to life a cleansing foam dispenser that serves as a flushable wipe upgrade— setting a new standard for heavenly bathroom upgrades.

The Saintly typography system builds upon Romie, a contemporary take on a classic serif, featuring elegant glyphs and flourishes that mimic hand-drawn calligraphy. Universal Favourite expanded on this concept through typographic layouts that emphasise graceful, flowing forms, drawing inspiration from the rich history of Renaissance Italian printing presses. The supporting typeface is GT Pressura Mono.

A new artisan bakery at the bus stop on the main crossroads in the centre of Bratislava – the Subo concept was created comprehensively from the name, visual identity, production and communication method.

A place where once stood a forgettable fast-food chain spot, now smells of fresh focaccias, summer-at-grandma’s evoking pastry and litres of locally roasted specialty coffee. Subo is not just a bakery though, it’s a comprehensive concept that combines a love of good food, a relentless pursuit of an exceptional customer experience, quality architecture and playful communication. That's why several dozen people have worked to make it a reality, us amongst them!

The visual identity is based on the concept of the Subo mascot. The mascot was created from dough, whose basic characteristic is very easy moldability. Therefore, its form is not fixed but changes over time and according to the content it wants to convey. The Bandit font is based on the shapes of wooden plates, which makes it perfectly suited for expressive applications and stamps that we use in our visual identity.

Oliver’s Custom Coffee is a specialty coffee brand from the folks at Olympia Coffee, featuring exclusive and high-end selections by Oliver Stormshak, a renowned coffee expert and roaster.

Needmore Designs was brought on board to help bring the brand to life, creating everything from the logo and brand, to the website, to the packaging. The design of the bags was based on vintage jazz records, particularly releases from the Blue Note label.

“On the packaging design, we were really inspired around the idea of the bags mimicking a 7″ single on vinyl,” Stormshak told Daily Coffee News. “We also took inspiration from both jazz albums and early new wave and punk designs. I love the idea [that] when we drop a coffee it’s like a single hitting the airwaves.”

The choice of Dunbar throughout this project was a no-brainer for everyone involved. It worked great on the website and for copy at small sizes, as well as for large display use on the packaging and other print uses. It was also a delightful coincidence that Oliver’s is very focused on Hawaiian coffees, and CJ Dunn, the designer of Dunbar, hails from Hawaii.

Cafe KYVE in Seoul opened in September 2024. The communication – packaging, signage, and social media – is based on the combination of Millionaire Script and Roman with a custom blocky logo. The contrast between the bold letters of the logo and the refinement of the Millionaire typeface, all combined with a very simple layout, gives a clean, direct, and no-frills look.

Mucky Duck is a Michigan based mustard brand that's been around for over 40 years. Though once available in 500 stores across 15 states, its distribution and availability had slowly waned. In an effort to breath new life into the brand, Traction was enlisted to completely overhaul the visual identity.

The Mucky Duck's logotype is set in a slightly modified version of Central Type's Zonk. The terminals of the C’s have been sheared vertically in order to create an more uniform space between C and K. The brand's headlines use the standard, unmodified Zonk Regular.

The secondary type is New Spirit, which contrasts nicely with the extra-bold, sans serif headlines. Labil Grotesk is used for the website's body type.

Haben by PFA-Typefaces is paired with Dum Dum Studio’s Serial A for the identity of ReAnimator Coffee Roasters, a coffee company with strong neighborhood ties to Philadelphia.

Founded in 2011, the name ‘ReAnimator’ is inspired by a 1980s cult-horror film about bringing the dead to life through alchemy, magic and science—much like a coffee roaster. James Paris redrew and expanded ReAnimator’s quintessential iconography, and I developed a strong supporting type system and guided the overall art directon. This design leans into the Lovecraftian elements of the brand’s origin, while maintaining a contemporary feel with strong graphic elements.

Ourside is a black-owned fragrance brand creating conscious, unisex eau de perfumes in the Bronx, New York. Their visual identity was designed by Some Days using Farmacia by Nguyen Gobber for the wordmark and titles and Kommuna by The Temporary State as a supporting font for copy text.

République Studio created the visual identity, signage, and the packaging for the Lacoste Pressing store, located at 51 Rue de Turenne in Paris, commissioned by Aimko. A rare occurrence for a boutique, it even caught the attention of the 20h news, which featured it in a segment ;)

This year marks the 90th anniversary of Lacoste. To celebrate the occasion, the brand launched a pop-up store during Roland Garros, showcasing 90 years of style. The exhibition highlights archival pieces, iconic tournament silhouettes, and also the reissued limited edition Tennis 1992 collection.

Seaforest is a supplements company based in Malaysia offering products that are 100% natural, plant-based, and free from synthetic chemicals or fillers.

We created an aesthetic website through a clean editorial design. Louize Regular (205TF) – used for quotes and titles – has a finesse which helps to lend the brand a rich hierarchy. It’s accompanied by Sofia Pro (Mostardesign) for body texts and subtitles. The well-balanced mix of these typefaces give the brand personality and reliability, as well as strong storytelling qualities.

Seaforest’s website focuses the attention on the categorization and display of the products, so that the experience can feel smooth and gentle – as shopping should be in any store.

Thorlo, the brainchild of a small family mill in North Carolina, has always believed in engineering socks for movement, but almost half a century after their founding, their legacy of ergonomic innovation had been lost in the rush of the latest, new-to-market brands. The goal of this rebrand was to reinvigorate the American sock brand and cement its rightful place as an icon today and for generations to come.

Thorlo’s leap into the future began with a new wordmark, which had seen many iterations in the last 40+ years (some more successful than others). The new logo, set in tightly tracked BN Dime Display, is resolute and ownable—nodding to Thorlo’s origins while also embodying the brand’s strength and durability. One interesting note: as part of the logo refresh, the brand name was also changed from “Thorlos” to “Thorlo,” the name the company went by in the 1980s (and one of the key eras of inspiration for the design system).

The remainder of the brand system is relatively text heavy, combining bold colors with a sans, Neue Montreal Bold, and a serif, Office Times Sharp. While Neue Montreal nods to a classic Modernist identity system, Office Times speaks to 80s editorial design, and the prior heyday of the brand.

Amber Waves Farm co-founders Katie and Amanda contacted us following their ten-year company anniversary, with big plans to expand the business. Our first phase of collaboration focused on establishing the brand strategy, positioning, and overall business architecture with the aim to scale.

To ground the identity, we sought inspiration from legacy general store marquees that employed striking typography in varying weights. The result embodies what happens “between” the Amber Waves, specifically: a rich heritage inspiring a new generation and the passionate embrace of community, local agriculture, nourishment, and joy.

The brand architecture was also designed to support each branch of the company with its own hero colorway.

This breadth is also reflected in the brand typography. Together, four typefaces – three styles from the Knockout series, supported by Hall Of Fun – create hundreds of combinations, ensuring printed collateral, posters, and social posts remain playful, fun, and unique.

Custom illustrations featuring lighthearted line art add charm and nuance to printed collateral, posters, merch, and bags.

Our photography style, shot by Gabriela Herman, beams with natural light and focuses on the land, the food, the people, and the magic experienced at Amber Waves.

Our transparent label design showcases the farm’s heritage logo as a halo above the product name, allowing the ingredients to show through, celebrating the manifestation of the farm’s harvest – ready to enjoy at home!

The logotype is a modified Knockout, with a raised waistline and curved crossbars in the A’s.

SangBleu Empire (Swiss Typefaces) and Maison Neue (Milieu Grotesque) are the brand typefaces for the new visual identity of Régoa.

Régoa is a local Spanish wine company with a national and international expansion. Its red wines are made with a flavory and tasty raw material from one of the most enchanted places in the north of Spain. Régoa wanted to update their brand to better express the essence of their unconventional product. The territory of their vineyards is so unconventional that the grape harvest is called heroic, for the difficult conditions in which producers collect grapes.

The new visual identity is based on 80° corners that make the new logo structure and the main composition; plus we decided to rename some wines to better enhance the essence of the Régoa brand: made by risky choices mixed with geographical elements.

We designed the new brand to enforce the high quality of each wine according its quality level. The cheapest one is Régoa, made using minimalistic composition and solid colors on the background.

DOJA gin is the world’s first Indo-Japanese spirit – the result of native botanicals from Japan and India being mixed together to create something new. This surprising combination of ingredients embraces tradition and modernity in equal measure, honouring two cultures in every sip.

This mixing of cultures and ingredients inspired our name: In(do-ja)panese. Likewise our distinctive logo mixes typefaces and languages: Japanese, English and Devanagari. The design system builds further on the idea of mixing, bringing together ingredients, type, illustration and photography in different ways to create a variety of striking layouts.

While DOJA is composed in the X Compressed style of GT Flexa and mixed with the Devanagari version of Pancho, Apoc appears in small sizes for the information alongside the whole identity. The font used for the Japanese text is Togalité, see the comments. Illustrations by Patricia Doria.

Cookie Dough Collective is a boutique brand selling pre-made cookie dough that is edible raw or baked. Cookie Dough Collective believe in sharing joy, optimism and nourishing social bonds to inspire a sense of community amongst their collective of dough-lovers.

Colour, typography and pattern are integral elements of the identity and packaging. The colours were selected to give a bright and optimistic feel. While the ‘cookie cutter’ pattern further communicates the fresh, joyful and playful expression of the brand.

Working alongside this is a simple yet bold typographic application – Playtype’s Italian Plate No1 typeface (in weights Black and Expanded) is used for its purity and distinctiveness yet still retains a softened, friendly and approachable quality.

Redbrick is a roaster, wholesaler, and distributor of coffee and coffee things. Good Times designed the company’s visual identity, including a selection system. Each color-coded category contains blends and single-origin coffees that are delicious in similar ways.

The identity pairs Surt Bold and Regular (Blaze Type) with Cheee (OH no Type) alongside a Coffee mascot and illustrations.

In 2013, Studio Boam was commissioned to work on a new brand named Bacanha that was launching an ready-made (frozen) cocktail. After one year, the brand drastically changed its direction in order to produce organic syrup. The studio was chosen again to create the new Bacanha bottle and design. Everything has been modified: the logo, label, illustrations, the material (from plastic to glass), and the bottle shape. The fonts in use are Form by Maxime Francout and Colus by .

Pentagram partner Marina Willer and team designed a visual identity for Thai soft drink brand Camu C with Good Girl as its main typeface. Marion Bisserier, Good Girl’s designer, collaborated on the project typography. From the case presentation:

Camu C takes its name from Camu Camu, an Amazonian berry fruit that resembles a cherry and has one of the highest Vitamin C levels in the plant world. Considered to be a superfood, it can be added to food and drinks as a health supplement.

The team’s aim was to celebrate the health benefits of drinking Camu C while appealing to its young and health-conscious audience. The confident typographic approach features a curvy Camu C logo made from a customised version of the typeface Good Girl. The tone of voice and use of typography plays with the fresh and fun feel of the brand.

Colour plays a key part in the brand identity, with a vibrant colour palette composed of pinks and greens, inspired by the Camu Camu berries and their leaves.

The supporting sans used for Thai and English text is FC Iconic by Jutipong Poosumas.
