Eggs ’n’ Bacon is the studio name for motion graphics art director Gunnar Pettersson. These marks appear in his 2012 showreel.

For the fifth annual Arkansas Times Craft Beer Festival we gave the identity a facelift. Same basic look but removed some fall textures (birch tree bark, for example). We stuck with the core fonts in the logo — a modified Miller Banner from Carter & Cone and David Whitley's Outage — and added Wayward Sans, the result of a collaboration by Jeremy Vessey and Pixel Surplus, to help highlight some of the festival’s (albeit young) history. We are using the logo’s barley and hops (seen here) minimally this year.

Designed by Margret Larsen, art director at the Joseph Magnin department store in the late 1950s to early ’60s. The illustration is by Betty Brader and depicts Larsen herself. (See a photo that seems the likely source image.)
