Bottle and label design for the very limited água-pé Pomo de Ouro, made by Juicy.ttf.

Traditionally, água-pé is a very light wine made by adding water to the leftover grape skins, seeds, and stems (bagaço) after regular wine has been pressed, then letting it ferment again. With Pomo de Ouro, that process was made with cider apples.

Labels for a cider producer in Normandy, France. Fred’s Apples engages in traditional production methods, using a press, with apples picked locally by hand.

For the 2025 rebranding of Mother Root, an alcohol-free natural aperitif launched in 2015, POST chose Piet Mono by Nils Thomsen as the display typeface. The font's rounded letters and simple construction go well with the simplicity of the four-ingredient drink and its liquid nature, while its structure provides a clear departure from the traditional serif typefaces commonly used for alcoholic drinks.

The typeface is used on packaging, marketing materials, and digital touchpoints, creating a visual identity for the growing community of flavour-first drinkers.

For the main text, the brand uses Grenette by Colophon, whose big serifs contrast with the serif-less interior of certain letterforms like n, h, and v. The mix of serif and sans-serif fonts creates a visual conversation with Piet Mono, while making sure it's easy to read long texts.

Brand design studio Hello Comrade created a type-centric identity for AMO Tequila. In a category so often dressed in ornament, this feels like a clear, confident pour. ⁠

While logo and headings are in all-caps BN Dime, supported by Alternate Gothic, all body copy uses Halyard Display. Darden Studio’s sans serif features for text on the bottle labels and the website alike. There’s something special about seeing Halyard carry a brand like AMO Tequila, bold, front and center, without distraction.⁠

From Terrafranta:

Terrafranta is a working organic farm nestled in the hills of Florence, founded by Carlotta Chiocchini in 2020. […] We produce high quality extra-virgin olive oil, lavender, as well as officinal and aromatic herbs of all sorts. The fruits of our land often become essential oils, aromatic waters, infusions mixes and sometimes they end up in our beer, too. 
Terrafranta is also a playground for events, cultural productions and explorations, hosting volunteers from all over the world as well as creative residencies

This label was designed by me, Céline Hurka, for the farm’s lavender beer. I used my monospace typeface Reverie for the main text and back label information. Reverie is an uppercase-only typeface with soft, rounded details. Thanks to its generous spacing, it remains highly legible even at small sizes. Reverie has an additional set of ornamented caps, as well as a series of ornaments as part of typeface. Those were not used in this project.

The lavender illustration features a selection of custom ornaments drawn as part of a bespoke version of Idyll, designed specifically for Terrafranta and taking inspiration from the flowers that grow on the farm. The label is printed in Italy, and the product is available exclusively through Terrafranta.

This release of "New Look NEIPA" marks something special – a fresh visual identity for Browar Stu Mostów, a Wrocław-based craft brewery whose name means “One Hundred Bridges.” The name isn’t a coincidence. Wrocław is a Polish city literally tied together by over a hundred bridges. Just like its hometown, the brewery connects tradition with innovation, people with craft, and design with flavor. It’s a place where creativity flows as freely as the beer itself, and you can experience it all in their vibrant taproom.

“New Look NEIPA” embodies everything Browar Stu Mostów stands for – bold experimentation, expressive character, and pure enjoyment. Juicy, aromatic, and naturally cloudy, it bursts with notes of white and green fruits from the mix of American Mosaic and New Zealand Motueka hops. A generous Motueka whirlpool addition deepens its tropical intensity and smooth finish.

A new look with a new font: Extract Grotesk, a new chapter – and a beer that perfectly bridges design and taste. Cheers!

Bouquet creates flavor-forward infusions with the highest quality ingredients. Born from a love of flavor, and a disdain for the mundane, the name is inspired by the idea that things are better when paired together – taking a bouquet over a lonely flower any day.

With this ethos in mind, Walk A Thought composed a rich visual world built on unexpected pairings: a bold wordmark to dress the elegant name, a vibrant color palette to contrast the earthy tones of the syrup, and typography that ranges from elegant to scientific. A universe of expressive lettering and illustration brings out the unique characteristics of both brand and flavor.

For the packaging, the studio developed a flexible system that lets the character of each flavor shine without compromising consistency. The embossed logo, distinct color coding, and unique artwork help each bottle stand out on the shelf – while also making it easy to identify for baristas and mixologists in high-paced environments like cafés and bars.

To introduce Bouquet to the world, Walk A Thought designed a website that’s quick and easy to navigate, while still filled to the brim with tasty photography, expressive typography, and illustrative surprises.

Carter & Cone’s Verdana makes for a strong and unexpected choice on these labels designed by Kasper Ledet for To Øl brewery. This high-quality milk stout “has enough bite for even the bravest,” and I thought that the choice of Verdana echoed the rest of their youthfully rebellious brand. Verdana was initially designed for on-screen use with clarity and versatility in mind. But I feel as if Verdana Pro, now with two widths, adaptability has been increased. I think this packaging proves the point—it’s ready for use beyond the screen.

Yes, chef! Wedge taps into the bold personality of Mark Simonson’s Acme Gothic for Matheson Food Company, chef Matty Matheson’s line of pantry staples. The studio’s design matches Matheson’s unapologetically robust culinary style by pairing the industrial charm of a customized Acme Gothic with Aperçu Condensed from Colophon. Acme’s sturdy forms and punchy, no-nonsense presence add to the packaging feeling familiar and striking on the shelf. The result? A line of products that balances vintage influence with a modern edge.

This is the story of a label that becomes six. The same label idea that responds to six variations – and which allows for many more, always different and always recognizable.

But we don't end there, the Inspira design goes further: this is the story of a design that emphasizes the idea that wine is culture: Inspira plays with the metaphor that wine is poetry. For this reason, it dresses its wines with verses by six key authors of Catalan literature who have expressly lent their poems to dress these Certificate of Origin Terra Alta wines.

Each bottle of the collection provides information about its author, as well as a bibliographic recommendation so that the reader can stretch the thread and extend the link with the culture beyond the wine itself.

With the creation of different label models for the same wine, we motivate the collector aspect of the consumer. With the elegance that comes from subtlety, by making different models available we propose to pair a wine with different texts and live the experience of how wine and writing take on new nuances and sensations, as they accompany each other.

Finally, with this versatile label, we commend the passion for poetry through wine. For this reason, each text is accompanied by a bibliographical recommendation and a pinch about its author.

“La Aceituna de Carta” (“The Olive Menu”) is an ad campaign that aims to give the table olive a greater presence on the menus of cafes and restaurants throughout Spain. Interaceituna, the organization responsible for the ads, hopes to take the olive “from the bar to the table” and educate the public on the different varieties and health benefits of table olives.

The project was designed by Valencia based studio Democràcia. Set in all caps, the campaign makes heavy use of Central Type’s bottom-heavy sans serif Felten.

Nuditi is a brand of handcrafted takeaway cocktails. Their slogan “cocktail socialism” reflects the brand’s mission to make bar-quality cocktails widely available. Nuditi cocktails are enjoyed with friends in the park, at weddings, social gatherings, or just at home after a long day at work. The visual identity and packaging are a tribute to the brutalist aesthetic of the socialist period in the brand’s home town Zagreb.

Base spirits are color-coded. Cocktails based on gin have a blue label, whiskey-based cocktails are green, and so on. The handwritten information on the label gives the packaging a craft touch. It is also functional because the same preprinted label can be used for different bottle sizes.

Gardulac (or Gar du Lac) is a botanical gin with a classic and fresh profile. The logotype is set in caps from Eros, with Selva Script used for “du”. The ingredients are added in Jugendreisen Small – with its curved open-bowl R, this typeface nicely complements Eros. Additional text is set in two widths of Interstate.

The label design, inspired by art nouveau typography, pays homage to the advertising posters tradition of Lake Garda since the 1930s. The yellow tone and the textured paper give the label an effect reminiscent of a real lemon peel.The identity is created by Davide Mosconi, Andrea Mastroluca and Federico Landini. Gabriel Cellini did 3D images. They've developed a product identity that uses elegant typographic compositions to express the exceptional quality of the product, its Italian roots, and the strength of the brand.

Intense notes of citrus and flowers blend with the delicacy of Lake Garda Lemons. The balsamic and resinous part of juniper supports the sip and connotes it clearly and distinctly. The freshness of cardamom and coriander is joined by the herbaceous note of olive trees grown on the shores of Lake Garda.

El Supremo is a rum brand from Paraguay:

Don José Gaspar Rodríguez de Francia was a Paraguayan lawyer and politician influenced by the ideas of Enlightenment of Voltaire and Rousseau, and later, the French Revolution. Francia advocated for the full independence of Paraguay from the United Provinces of the Río de la Plata and the Empire of Brazil. His independent spirit is still venerated in Paraguay to this day, and it is for this reason we dedicate our Rum to him, named after his popular sobriquet “El Supremo”.

Among a combination of type and lettering, we spotted the use of Nautica for the pay off “From the Jungle of Paraguay”. The label text “Aged in oak” is set in Brothers and the lettering of “Rum” could by based on Rosella. The packaging by Oveja & Remi won a Master Medal on The Design & Packaging Masters 2018

Wine52 is the UK’s largest wine discovery club, and a distributor of wines from all kinds of places. For a collection of wines from the D.O. La Mancha region in Spain, they approached five regional studios to create special label designs. Barcelona-based Atipus was invited to work on a Verdejo, an outstanding Spanish grape variety with citrus notes and stone fruit.

Atipus conceived both the name and the design. For the former, they settled on “Mejunje”. Not only has this word close linguistic ties to La Mancha. It also appealed directly to the product, as it denotes a homemade beverage featuring many ingredients. For the latter, the design studio opted for a purely typographic approach, inspired by the lurid aesthetics of vintage town party flyers and bullfighting posters. This includes loud colors (with a nod to the Spanish flag) and a nonchalant type treatment.

The name is shown in Signal Compressed by Production Type. Based on a lettering style commonly painted on roads, it has compressed letterforms intended to be easier to read from the driver’s perspective. Here the unconventional distribution of thicks and thins is employed for its eye-catching qualities and approachable amateur connotations. The other fonts follow suit: Bebas Neue and Linotype Didot are used with stretched proportions.

All text was arranged inside a triangular label. This shape references the typical neckerchiefs worn by Castilian women in traditional costumes.

These fine wine labels were designed by studio ramel·luzoir for the Domaine Régis Minet, using Carolinéale (designed by one half of the design studio, Francis Ramel, and available from PampaType) as the main typeface. Carolinéale is supported by a condensed style of Garaje (designed by Thomas Huot-Marchand and released by 205TF) for the big year number, and French 111 (Bitstream’s digital version of Gando, designed by Matthew Carter & Hans-Jürg Hunziker).

Studio MPLS designed the logo and packaging for Strange Lands, a (now defunct) distillery that was based in Trois-Rivières, Quebec. The identity uses an elegantly-customized Crayonette DJR for the logo, monogram and perhaps, most importantly, the word “GIN”). Other display text is set vertically in Corfe, and supporting text is set in an all-caps combination of LHF Egyptian and Series A Signage JNL. The identity uses a variety of colors to distinguish the different gin varieties, all set on a label with distinctive stepped corners.

Studio MPLS senior designer Brent Schoepf spoke to The Dieline about the typographic palette:

[Crayonette] DJR all day! Dolly Parton’s album Home for Christmas made us do it. We’re just imitators in this case. All other typography is either from Letter Head Fonts or Jeff Levine, always and forever our default font makers. And a special shoutout to Beasts of England for the embossed type on the side of the bottle, done in ‘Corfe’.

Ferraria D'Alge is a Medronho brandy produced in Foz de Alge, a village in the parish of Arega, Figueiró dos Vinhos municipality, Leiria district, Portugal.

The logo was designed using the Flecha L typeface, while the rest of the label's information is set in Gineto, Gineto Fit, and Staff XX Condensed fonts.

Arrows from Di grotesk, Maria, Janus, New Zelek, Tor grotesk and Heneczek were used in the Les Grandes Vignes labelling system.

The Vaillant family, proprietors of Les Grandes Vignes, have been using organic and biodynamic approaches to wine-making since the 17th century. To reflect this avant-garde vigneron spirit, Gunter Piekarski designed a fresh new series of labels for their unique portfolio of wines.

Project description by the design studio:

By mapping the vast terroir surrounding the chai, we created a grid and used this to plot five distinctive typographic arrows borrowed from our friends at threedotstype.com. Each of the arrows points in its own direction, representing how the vineyards are spread across the estate landscape. They are colour-coded, too: green for white, blue for sparkling and red, of course, for red. Despite being idiosyncratic, the arrows form part of a system of signs that signify the collective spirit of the project.

Drawing inspiration from Laguna Beach and the flavor of the gin itself, the typographic selection hopes to induce feelings of nostalgia, relaxation and friendship.
